Supreme Court of eCanada - Rolo trial -March 3 update

On March 1, the Court announced a trial date in this matter namely Friday March 4 beginning at 5:30 EST.
Rolo has logged into the game everyday this week. I sent him an in game PM two days ago advising of the date, the article which contained details and specifically the following:
“your trial date has been scheduled for friday march 4 beginning 5:30 EST. Details are contained in an article in my newspaper.
Rolo has been banned from the forums and irc. He may appoint someone to speak for him. If he wishes to have forum access in order to speak for himself, I need to receive such a request from him by in game PM. The request should state his election to have no councel, and the reasons he should be permitted to appear.”
No response has been received.
By arrangement with the forum Administrators, who imposed their own forum ban, I expect that Rolo will be masked and able to appear.
The president has not appointed anyone to guard the interests of eCanada. Jfstpierre will, therefore, present the case by default.
In the event Rolo does not appear the Court will proceed in his absence. We will also consider requests by any eCanadian citizen to make representations on his behalf.
In the event a citizen wishes to offer services as "duty councel" for Rolo, you need to PM me in game or on forum, in order to be correctly masked for the trial.
At present, subject to change and argument, it is anticipated the parties will be asked to concurrently make their statements and evidence offerings, followed by an opportunity to provide additional material in response.
The constitution provides that a hearing will take place over a minimum of three days.

I hereby do not wish to be "duty counsel" for rolo.
Any one who does is a fool. does the court have nothing better to do then this?

gentlemen: I appreciate the view that this should have been dealt with months ago. The present Court is attempting to move quickly but fairly in cleaning up a long outstanding matter. The present Court will deal with it. TemBC has offered to act as duty councel. We will see: it is possible (mock amazement) that TemBC is serious.
I will be leading the team representing Rolo. Via eCanada PM to olivermellors, I have made a request of the courts regarding timing. The response to the request will determine what happens next.
@Mr. Crosby, if you've been following the eCanadian courts at all, you will know that guilt has many degrees.

only atoms: i have written to TemBC. I reproduce the post, below. Kindly consider it being sent to you as well and all others who wish to represent Rolo. (i noted that Tem's initial post to me was likely forwarded to others or a BCC).
Once we determine who will act for Rolo, i will mask you appropriately on the forum (in the "new cases" area) where you can appear.
The timing request, received from only atoms, was to adjourn until such time as Nosyt is available. That request can be made, and will be decided upon, at the beginning of the trial.

I have been requested by Rolo to act as his representative and have also just now asked TemujinBC if he would like to work together.

I intended to make my decision known to you at 5:29 PM, Friday March 4, since no deadline for a decision was given. Should I have missed that deadline, I would have pointed out no year was given, on the above date either..
Has the court in all this time not realized the Devil is in the details???
Perhaps I should just donate all the money to the Government of eCanada and get it over with...

with respect, it is common sense that if you don't have anyone show up, "your side" of the argument will not prevail. It is also common sense to anticipate that the president may be too busy to make an appointment, hence the Court had a planB. The Court is sympathetic to the press of work on the president. Kindly return the courtesy?

Doesn't seem like Jfstpierre will be needed in this trial. The President has assigned the council on behalf of the people of eCanada. Unless of course the Justice is overriding the selection and choosing the representation for the nation on their own.
Still waiting for this court to somehow establish its own legitimacy as was promised. Maybe I should self-appoint a "Court of Hank" to consider this matter, right after it holds an inaugural hearing declaring itself legitimate.
On the other hand if this is all just for entertainment purposes, carry on with the comedy. No one plays an unflinching straight man quite like Olivermellors.

We promised to address the constitutional status of the Court. We did that weeks ago. You raised this point in a previous comment and I responded at that time. I understand you may not have noticed the previous article and comments. The Court has ruled that the constitution remains unamended, hence the Court continues as a constitutionaly protected branch of government. It has also dealt with a number of outstanding matters including the conviction of a player for disclosing security information. The Funding Cap Act trial is in progress and we are beginning the Rolo Tamahsee prosecution in an hour or so.
I may be misinterpreting your comment. If so, I would be glad to respond further, here or by PM, if you will describe the nature of my confusion.
