Summer Hibernation

Guess I'm going back to two-clicking. I hadn't even realized 4 days have already passed since the new POTUS was elected. And I've already missed two days of clicking where I hadn't missed a day in the week leading up to the race.

It's simply that I don't feel compelled to go to eRepublik as part of my daily routine. Usually for me it's not something to simply come and do then leave. That seems a waste of time when I've got a lot of other activities I can be more involved in and generally feel more accomplished with, like I have a greater impact. I used to read articles and write my own and try to at least feel, if not get involved.

I hope President Richardson has a very successful term. I hope he is able to hold true to the ideas of bringing in new players and new ideas. I definitely think that's the way to improve retention and even shake things up. I think in general the older players are simply too attached to their power and really, who can blame them? Cults of personality and being one of the elite running a country, even an imaginary one, can only be good for one's ego.

I'll be around. Maybe if I get some more free time I'll even put some effort into things again. Until then, best wishes Emerica!
