Please, vote up my suggestion about a feature which will allow to send mass messages to friends from friends list:

Why it's NOT like shouts:
Shouts are limited to 3 per day unless you pay and 140 characters only!
Plus - individual shouts are less notice-able.

And vote up this article as well please.

I don't know if it's a good idea : this could make spamming easier...

If you don't want to receive spam, then admins could add a BLOCK feature which will block messages from a certain person, or you can just REMOVE him from your friend list for that.
