Such an unlucky day (for France)

Day 1,697, 06:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell
Hello everyone!

As we all know by now from all the excrement spamming our facebook/twitter feeds from lonely housewives who spend too long trying to find inspirational quotes from other lonely housewives, today is Friday the 13th. Quite popularly today is referred to as "unlucky", well I'd like to remind people that based upon our situation today we are very fortunate!

Sooner than expected we are on the offensive and fighting to regain our territory, with the aid of our trustworthy and worthwhile allies and some major co-ordination from our Military leaders.

While it is still unfortunate that our neighbours have chosen this series of events, things are now in our control and surely with some more perseverence we shall prevail as planned. Let's all do ourselves a favour, though, and follow orders! From today onwards our priority is to play SMART and that means doing as we're told so that we're all maximising potential in key places. Our Prime Minister has asked that we do NOT start resistance wars, no matter how tempting it may be to support them or how much we want to fight for our homeland, in order to focus on the direct and aided battles which our allies can participate in, too.

Just to remind everyone, our allies cannot assist us in resistance wars, they are toe-to-toe battles between occupier and occupied, and so it is in our best interests to minimise the battles on our door while we are on the offensive.

I'd like to finish with some poetry! Today is a difficult day for many, being reminded of past misfortune and events can be hard for those who have had troubling times or miss people who are no longer with us.

This poem was written by an american named Max Ehrmann and reads as a guide to living a peaceful, happy life. I hope this finds you, readers, well and today's suspected misfortunes evade us all! Enjoy "Desiderata"(desired things):

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its shams, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Be good, everyone! Seeya
