Stuck Between a Big Brother and a Mr. Smelly Place

I know, I haven’t been around this version of eRep for long. And yes Unity was happening when I got here. But holy crap I am already tired of it.

I have Big Brother trying to protect me from Mr. Smelly Place and Mr. Smelly Place is using Big Brother as his grandstanding reason to exist. They feed each other. Big Brother is trying to stop the eUSA from stepping into the crap the Mr. Smelly Place leaves and Mr. Smelly Place feeds and processes the leftovers of Big Brother who tries to feed me explanations of why he is needed and his successes. Mr. Smelly Place eats those up and drops more crap. And the swirling water cycle continues.

You both cause, expand, create, each other. Its stupid. You both are the reason that the other exists. I don’t care who started it first. You keep each other existing. Mr. Smelly Place will never go away. And even if he did, everyone has a Smelly Place and may start thinking with it. Hell there are entire countries full of Smelly. Yes we need to weaken them. Yes it would be nice to put a boot up Mr. Smelly Place. But Mr. Smelly Places existence doesn't mean we need to keep full Big Brother mode going.

The sounds like this a few times each month -
Mr. Smelly Place - The Ring Kisser is an elitist and all his friends kiss his ring. Let me free the eUSA from The Ring Kisser’s evil hands.
Big Brother (includes The Ring Kisser but more are involved) - We must defend against/attack/ignore (depends on who you ask) Mr. Smelly Place and his party of Bottoms.
Mr. Smelly Place - The Ring Kisser and his minions are trying to stop me, a true patriot of freedom.
Big Brother - Yawn The Bottoms are so boring and non existent that I am going to pretend to ignore them at the same time defend against/attack them.

Over and over.

Something different needs to happen. We need to break this cycle. If Mr. Smelly Place isn’t a threat, then lets at least tone down big brother. If he is, then lets keep taking action and be clear about it. I thought it was the dumbest thing when on our forums I had people telling me we needed Big Brother but at the same time “Who is the Bottom Party, old news, yawn”. Its a threat or it isn’t.

And I am now at rambling mode.

Exactly right. Both sides keep contradicting themselves as they try to fight the other side. They grasp at straws to come up with reasons for what they do and justifications for their bad behavior, but as long as the true motive is a psychotic level of narcissism and a desperate need to fill an empty life, what is there to legitimately support here?

There are 2 people who benefit from this cold war. Only 2.

Lines are being drawn. Those who oppose this nonsense need to stop acting like anyone using different tactics and methods to achieve the same ends are somehow on a completely different team. It only helps feed this destructive cycle.
