Step by Step improving eBe with NLSP
NLSP
Dear citizens and friends of eBelgium,
I want you to give some examples of what I will instruct my government. This will help you to see, besides the general thoughts that you could pick up in the previous articles, the practical ideas.
For me it is important that the government is run by decent people that take responsibility for what they do. Therefore I will give my ministers a 'carte blanche' and will leave micro-managing for people that have too much free time.
The ministers will all get their general instructions and the ability to ask support/aid/guidance, but if a minister wants to do something different, it is his/her call.
In return I do expect responsibility! They have the opportunity to shape eBelgium and they need to think about the long-term effects of their actions. There are a few things that stay important, such as not endangering the CoT-membership that Congress requested.
Furthermore the Immigration Officer (IO) that I will appoint will receives an important assignment. He will make up a check-list, that makes it possible to compare potential immigrants and should be the guideline for an immigration decision. That will be presented towards congress, that can decide what they want to do with it. The government-appointed IO will be asked to follow it.
Cause immigration is in game-mechanics a function related towards congress, I will request the government-appointed IO to give the congress-appointed IO always the chance to handle the case.
A third request will be made to come up with a time-frame. Each person that applies for citizenship has the right to receive an official answer without long delays by the immigration office.
New players have the right to be heard. The government should also give them enough possibilities to let them grow. There are also people that think that this should be limited to the new/weak/poor/young players only and that the old/strong/rich players should be avoided like they have some kind of leprosy. That is not correct either and a balanced view has to be maintained on this. All players deserve attention and support from the government and when programs need to be cut due finance reasons, this should be done in a fair way with all groups bearing a correct part.
Therefore it is extremely important that the citizen-program's need be carefully analysed and if necessary changes be done. Therefore I will, once elected, start with a 'Blue Ribbon Commission' with members from all different ranks/groups/ideologies in our community. Both forum-using and non-forum-using citizens will be represented and based on their conclusion, the government will propose changes/new ideas to congress.
Besides this, the government will actively try to obtain the opinion of the less vocal citizens, so they are not neglected.
This text is already getting rather long, so I will pause now and make sure that I write a fourth campaign article. I just want to inform you that I have already been thinking about a cabinet (but nobody has been contacted yet, so don't worry if you think that you would have gotten a pm from me with the request to join the cabinet), but before I fill in posts I want to invite EVERY citizen to take up a role in the government and send me NOW a pm (where you can state what position you prefer)

> 'carte blanche'
Rea😛 I'm not going to do anything. Let others handle it
Honestly, I'm not even trying to break down your manifesto but this entire thing reads as "I'm going to let others do the work and I'm going.... well put my legs on the table and "supervise""
These are interesting ideas that could change a lot.

Shadowukcs, ministers are not supposed to be minions that just follow the CP's wishes blindly. Government is a team-work, where my ministers have the ability to take their own initiatives and changes to the situation.
That doesn't mean that they are the only ones working or that they have to do all the work.
Fail NLSP
Fail Belgium
@Shadow : That's a little the way of democracy no ? Divide power in different hands.

People elect a CP, not a minister. You as CP should do most of the work. from reading this, that doesn't seem the case. We just got a month of lazy CP's. And look how bad that turned out. We had a MoFa who wrote an article about a country and our CP didn't even bothered to inform that the said country was PTO'd.
What exactly are you planning on doing yourself, NLSP?
nice initiatives
I hope everyone will be constructive in the "Blue Ribbon Comission"
Lots of words, no substance. How about some actual campaign pledges other than, "I promise to blame everyone else for what goes wrong because I gave them the responsibility to do my job for me".
Just provide some metric for measuring the successes and failures of your administration.
I'm afraid Shadow and Goopy just read half of the text (or, more likely, just criticize the parts of the text they want).
You're pragmatic about ministers. And you're promising 2-3 things. That's enough for me. A CP candidate promising too much is just using demagogy, as in any elections.
Don't know yet who I'll vote for, but good luck.

He will be the best Cp
Voted, respect his authority!
>implying anyone ever respected his authority as admin?
lololol
Good luck

NLSP is using the same catch words that almost every CP in the past has used to get elected. Yet eBelgium remains small, boring, and apathetic (unless we argue about breaking forum procedure). What I'm saying is that if you like to be told what you can and can't do outside of the basic in-game rules, vote for NLSP. If you want to Live Free, pay ZERO taxes, and grow this nation by repealing immigration laws...vote for KYLERO!
@ Kylero
And how exactly do you plan on running eBe without taxes or rules?
