State of the State Department Address

Day 676, 20:49 Published in USA USA by Wade Seagrave

Greetings American and the State Department! I am Wade Seagrave, your Secretary of State.

There are a few things that are needing to be ready for the State Department to start advancing. We're a little behind due to the resignation of the Deputy Director of Ambassadorial Affairs goaly1323 and the appointment of former Secretary of State Gaius Julius as President. But we shall regroup and accelerate. We are going to have the greatest State Department in the world, to be admired by all nations, and we need every person available.

My first goal as Secretary of State is to reestablish who is who in the State Department. I am in the process of tracking down all of the branches that make up the State Department. So far we have established command in the US Ambassadorial Office and the newly introduced [to the State Department], Citizenship Task Force.

We currently know the Office of Developing Regions is supposed to be led by the Deputy Secretary of State, but since there is no current Deputy Secretary of State, one of our first priorities will be to appoint a person to manage it.

Our second goal, after establishing a set chain of command, would be to start encouraging the public's interest and activity in the State Department. Right now, the US Ambassadorial Office is rebuilding from a recent inactivity swipe of all Ambassadors, so there has never been a better time for people to sign up to become an Ambassador. We also want information to be made public to better inform the public of information about other nations and our relations to them.

One of my secondary objectives is to make an International Handbook; a handbook giving general details about every nation in the world for the purpose of informing the public in an updated and more accurate way than the wiki.

The third goal is to assign distinct leaders of each branch and assign deputies to assist those leaders. This way the State Department can ensure we can keep running without a hitch in the event of a resignation or any other apostrophized event within the State Department.

The fourth and final goal is to expand the State Department so that information gathering by the President and other government officials can be made swifter by having a team of experienced people from the State Department to assess and evaluate our nations standings internationally to speed up the decision making process in Congress and in the Executive Branch.

We shall become the greatest State Department the world has ever seen, we just need volunteers and competent leaders.
