Spinning Out of Control

It's back, and for a limited time only! No, it's not the McRib, it's the Power Spin! But like the McRib, the Power Spin is an unhealthy waste of money. For my thoughts on the Power Spin in general, check out my article from last month when it first came out. To summarize, spending gold in an attempt to win the jackpot is a waste of money.
There are some differences from it's introduction last month. As you may notice every so often, a notification will flash on the bottom left screen saying:
Seems exciting that this keeps popping up, so it must be relatively easy to win, right? Wrong! There are over 133,000 active people in this game, so of course the chances are it will be won. It's just like how people win the lottery. It is inevitable that someone will win, it just won't be you. Individually, the chances of winning far outweigh the reward of winning. While not confirmed, it is likely the jackpot is weighed. I have never spent any gold on the Power Spin, but given all the free spins I have gotten from last month and this time around, not once have I hit the jackpot. Hitting the jackpot once in a row is a 1/8 chance on paper, and I have certainly spun it much more than just 8 times. To keep the long story short, it is another scheme to take your money away.
The Power Spin ends after day 2,253. But something tells me that after that, it will return, and the cycle of plundering people of their gold will continue.

I am quite the gambler and I do not like seeing this thing all the time. It pops up, reminds me it is there and I want to spin. Today, it worked out, I had two jackpots after a handful of gold spins (my first spin for gold gave me a jackpot, I then spun to 2 gold a spin and got another jackpot later on with another free spin from the prestige). I then spun away a total of 60 gold to get the 500 gold. I ended up with profit. However because I will keep returning I WILL lose out in the long run. I am considering messaging the admins asking them to block it from my account as I really don't want to gamble, it is a very bad habit of mine.
If they come back saying no I may contact gambleaware and see what is possible. There must be some rules or regulations somewhere.
I am under the suspicion that if you spend gold you are more likely to hit the jackpot. But as someone who doesn't gamble, I'm not taking the risk. Thanks for sharing your story!

Pfeiffer shouted it earlier. Definatly works on chrome - just go to manual block and copy paste that in.
As gold can be bought with real money, this power spin is real gambling and should be regulated. I don't think it is legal.
As technically you're spending virtual currency, I doubt gamebleaware can really do anything.
Hi, my names Wayne. and I have a problem... I am weak willed and can not control the urge to spin.
