Your Official Military and Government Newspapers
It is my hope that each of these Official newspapers will adopt the line of code (see below, end of this article) which comprises the row of hyperlinked avatars at the top of this article as a standardized bottom strip on every edition of their newspapers.
Training Corps Tribune Official newspaper of the US Training Corps
Note: There's an eRep glitch that yields an "Unauthorized Link" message.
Workaround is to go to the TC Public Relations Org and click through to the latest edition of the paper from there. The Org is linked to the avatar in the top row, above.
National Guard Times Official newspaper of the US National Guard
Note: No articles as of 3/11/2011
MI Battle Cry Official newspaper of the US Mobile Infantry
The Army Times Official newspaper of the US Army
Blood on the Risers Official newspaper of the US Airborne
Note: Most Airborne articles are in individual members' papers. Maybe the Official paper will publish occassional editions with links to those great contributing writers' works.
Marine Corps Post Official newspaper of the US Marines
Note: Although the Marines do utilize their Official newspaper, individual members also publish excellent Marine Corps articles in their own papers.
The Speaker's Word Official newspaper of the US Congress
DoD Orders Official Department of Citizen Orders newspaper
The WH Press Room Official US White House newspaper
EASYRIDER Official Pony Express newspaper
With this Special Final Edition, we close the doors on the Cavalry Saber.
I have been proud to serve the US Cavalry as Public Affairs Senior Officer, Editor of the Official newspaper-- The Saber, the voice of the US Cavalry.
I thank my superior officers for the opportunity to serve, my fellow Troopers for their contributed articles and for their subscriber-ship, and I thank the American and other eRep citizens for their readership.
Please tune in to the Army Times for continuing cutting edge reporting and creative writing by myself and other US Army contributing writers.
I'd also, on behalf of all former Cavalry Troopers and Officers, like to extend our thanks for the honor shown to the US Cavalry on Friday, by all Army personnel tagging up in IRC as [CAVALRY].
o7, Cavalry.. o7, America.
Strike the tent!
Major George Armstrong Custer
Editor, Army Times

Here's the BBS code for that top row of hyperlinked avatars:
Certainly, all newspaper editors are welcome and encouraged to use this as a footer, to help promote readership of the Official newspapers of the US Military, Executive and Congress.

The articles in the Saber have always been top notch! Thanks George, for the great articles.
Good job Custer. Quality work.
Sad day. Great work on the Saber, Custer.
well done
This is the traditional Cavalry poem to honor our fallen brethern:
Fiddler’s Green
Halfway down the trail to Hell,
In a shady meadow green
Are the Souls of all dead troopers camped,
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddlers’ Green.
Marching past, straight through to Hell
The Infantry are seen.
Accompanied by the Engineers,
Artillery and Marines,
For none but the shades of Cavalrymen
Dismount at Fiddlers’ Green.
Though some go curving down the trail
To seek a warmer scene.
No trooper ever gets to Hell
Ere he’s emptied his canteen.
And so rides back to drink again
With friends at Fiddlers’ Green.
And so when man and horse go down
Beneath a saber keen,
Or in a roaring charge of fierce melee
You stop a bullet clean,
And the hostiles come to get your scalp,
Just empty your canteen,
And put your pistol to your head
And go to Fiddlers’ Green.
Good bye ye ole Cavalry.
The times were good, the friends lasting.
