Special Analysis for the United Kingdom

This article is not meant to be propaganda, though you will probably view it as such. Everything it contains is the truth, at least in as far as I see it.


It has recently come to my attention that my articles have been neglecting a very crucial front of this global conflict. The front I am referring to is of course the battles involving the United Kingdom. In truth, I have not been writing much about them because they did not really matter except for the passing mention that they were occurring. That is why I have not been talking about the UK. Of course, if all the trolling is to be believed, the UK will soon have the distinct honor of becoming a very important part of the war. I have also noticed the United Kingdom’s general citizens seem to be woefully misinformed of just what kind of situation they are in, and just how bungling their military planners are.


It is widely understood in the EDEN countries that the United Kingdom is nothing more than a Hungarian pawn. You were taken over by a Pro-PEACE political movement in mid 2009 who subsequently sold out the United States and Canada to the Hungarians in exchange for a Q5 hospital and some Canadian territories (Alberta and the Atlantic territories). Actions taken by the United Kingdom since then have only reinforced this opinion. I am of course referring to the frequent blocking attacks launched against the United States in our Northeastern states. These attacks served nobodies interests but Hungary’s, often being launched when the Hungarians and the Serbians made their monthly invasion of Croatia. Incidentally, this "was" what Slovenia was doing, and you can see how they were rewarded for their loyal service to Hungary. You will also note that these invasions activated the USA’s MPPs against the United Kingdom. Your claims that the reason the USA refuses to take advantage of these activated MPP’s is a sign that we are afraid of the UK counterattacking and taking us over are naturally ignored. The USA does not respect the UK. We do however respect Hungary. Everyone knows it will be Hungary we will have to fight in the UK, not the UK itself.


To that end, EDEN’s strategy in Europe should be self evident to anyone with the knowledge of how the game works. While you all have been busy harassing the USA, EDEN has been pushing towards your borders and surrounding them. I will now explain to you the most important part of your dilemma.


INITIATIVE


One would hope your Government is aware of the dire danger it’s in, even if you, the British people are not. Initiative is EVERYTHING in eRepublik warfare. When a country attacks you, you cannot launch an attack on any front, in any war, even if you were to defeat a country on a different front. Furthermore, so long as an attacking country borders at least two of your territories, they can prevent you from attacking for all eternity unless the attacking countries President wakes up late and misses his chance to push the button or another country attacks the attacker. In this manner, one nation (like Brazil in Australia) has been able to keep a war in limbo for days, even weeks, and in the case of the war between Canada and Hungary, MONTHS. At last count, the United Kingdom is bordered by SIX hostile countries. Considering the US was permanently initiative locked for much of the North American invasion by just four invading countries, imagine what can be done with six invading countries.


Let me enlighten you. EDEN can cycle strike, having one country invade a different territory every 4 hours, perhaps even opening up a battle twice or even three times in the same territory using different wars, with the battles ending at different times throughout the day. Can you imagine the nightmare that would be for citizen orders in your allied countries? Who should they concentrate their efforts against? Most of the battles will be fought by world powers, and while Phoenix can easily win a battle if they are focused, look at what has been happening in Europe during the days Hungary is distracted. Just ask Germany if you want to be specific. Your situation will be like this x100. Should Hungary order its citizens to go all out against Sweden? Or maybe Spain? Let’s not forget Poland, or god help you, the USA and its MPP’s. Who should you defend against? And more to the point, why should Hungary even bother to defend when it is obvious to everyone the UK will never gain anything from holding a territory because another country will just step in and attack some place else and thus prevent the UK from counterattacking. In short, you could win hundreds of defensive battles and it won’t matter because EDEN need only win a handful of the fights. EDEN won’t even need to focus on the UK during day’s they need to be busy elsewhere, because someone will always be preventing you from counterattacking.


In conclusion, I would also like to point out the tactical geniuses you have running your military
operations; the kind of people who would start a resistance war after they attack a territory, which does nothing but waste gold. These brainiacs also thought it would a good idea to get a free war with Spain by attacking Norway. First of all, I don’t know why anyone would want a war with Spain, free or otherwise. Second of all, by attacking Norway you have triggered the Norwegian MPP’s, which included Romania. Romania in case you don’t know, has the highest concentration of Field Marshal ranked tanks in the entire EDEN Alliance. It was also the one EDEN country that was thus far unable to directly participate in an invasion of the UK. Good news for us though, they can now! And what do you have to show for it? Two blocking battles on Spain in France that are now meaningless thanks to a region swap and attack by Poland. Perhaps someone should tell your military leaders blocking efforts only prevent attacking, not retreating. And as for France gaining something from your valiant charge into Norway... they can’t because their final regions are going to be surrounded by Poland, a country they are not at war with.
