Hello all decent members of the eUK
Today we would like to make a protest at the choice of speaker of the house, the whole process is very corrupt and the votes can only be done on the forum, this is a way to keep the old fag forum elites in power and move congress to how they want to vote!
This is not open government and just more corruption, the members they have picked on the forum are,

Two of these members, (Highlighted) they troll are very anti New Era , none of these are fit enough to be speaker of the house with the way they treat New Era.
We demand an open process, we demand open government !
The speaker of the house should not be in party or have any ties to parties.
The congress mails should have all PP's included and include some eUK members not in a party for fairness.
The government try to do things behind close doors very hush hush, well it's time for a change , I will not put up with dodgy going's on no more.
I told you dodgy going's on was happening in the Bank Of England and guess what 70,000 was robbed, this is now being brushed under the carpet, it's really annoys me that eUK members are like sheep , it's time to grow some balls and work out what is really going, you are being CONNED , ROBBED and MANIPULATED
This is all going on by the same players that have controlled the UK for years, They might show up as a new player but we know the TRUTH.
They fear New Era so much they attack with pure hate , they fear us as we speak the TRUTH, Do not be fooled it's time to make a stand.
New Era is against the process right now , and I hope others agree.
We want OPEN Government something the TUP will never give ! We want to support the eUK players , Something TUP will never give you.
This Article is a protest at the Speaker of the House, please show support on the comments section and get a revise on the speaker of the house !

Speaker of the house to have no ties with any parties

I have tried using the IRC chat route and found it to be no use at all. I am new(ish) to the game and found the lack of communication and governance to be very disappointing, to the point where this game is now completely one-dimensional. Removing political processes to another forum (IRC) makes this even worse and is damaging to the eUK as a whole.
I may have missed something here, but I really want to know what action will follow, and how can we help push for this?

Every party can nominate a speaker, if a party chooses not to, then that is their fault. Talk to Wigibob about who he put up, if he didn't nominate, then they cannot be voted...
Also, PP should not be in congress mails unless they are in congress as thats not the way congress works, it just means we won't explain anything for fear of more leaks...something that could make things turn tits up another way. The congress PMs should only have congress members and Ministers, do you not trust the congress members you yourselves chose? If you have a problem with congress, speak to your representatives in government, the very congress members your party selected and voted in. (:
Also, we openly admitted that money was stolen...you do not see us hiding it, considering we announced that it was stolen. AFAIK we have not yet found the culprit....I for one will pursue this and make it clear who it was.
As far as Speaker goes, why should they be apolitical? I see a complaint, but not solid reason, I am willing to listen.

You are the troll ! 🙂 , PP's should be included in mails, any congressman can leak anything there is 60 slots on the congress mails. , so new Era will make public all Congress mails and responses to make what you are saying look stupid, First off you say PP chooses a members for speaker , but then the PP can't be in congress mails? seems odd ! Nothing is open here, voting for a speaker behind closed doors is wrong, the speaker should be someone not in a party and not just voted on the forum, voted in articles ! Stop this awful process now , stop cheating , most of congress don't use the forum this isn't in game and just caters for the old forums fags !

The speaker of the house should be from a Non Party having someone from a party as speaker is cheating, its cheating the UK public of a FAIR system .
The system may or may not be stupid (I neither know nor particularly care how it is done) but it is nonsense to call the system cheating, If new era have a problem with the system then fair enough, propose something else and get it voted through. If "the elite" are preventing that happening then there is always an impeachment vote. Until that happens however, the system is what it is, and so it may be unfair or whatever, but it is not cheating.

why the hell should PP's be included in Congress PM's? Those PM's are for Congress and Government to discuss and debate. You wanna know what's happening either run for Congress and e included in the PM's or set up a New Era Congress PM so the party can discuss what to do... you really are grasping at straws now Don...

Ask the democratically elected speaker, I nothing to do with the running of Congress - though I do believe Congressmen were given the choice of using a gdoc or voting in the IG PM thread... not the forum.

Why not? The Speaker runs Congress from Congress. Politics from below without executive interference. Clear separation of powers is a great thing.
But that doesn't happen , the Speaker should me from a NON party,unless you want to direct congress on voting how you want to vote ?
the speaker irl is from a party, ingame their job is to facilitate discussion and the pms, not to direct any voting...
The government can direct how they would like congress to vote, but it is still up to them to vote a specific way.
The role consists of setting up a mass message. ffs Don, might help if you research what the role involves...

the Speaker Act itself is bs - it's a poorly drafted replacement for the old Congressional Procedure Act.
As for the "joke" list of candidates for the position of Speaker; well it's just that - a joke.

The nomination process is clearly flawed and undemocratic.
Why on earth would New Era agree to such a list?
Why weren't ALL congressmen allowed to put their names forward instead of being presented with a "list" of 3 candidates on their first day?

every PP is free to nominate before the election. Wigibob could have proposed, RFeist could have proposed, same with Rob and ACroc, They didn't...if you don't like the method then propose a change, don't just wring your hands.
Propose an amendment, try to get it passed so all can stand if they want to do so. Obviously WRP, SKA and TUP all proposed candidates. Last month, I forgot to propose anyone for Speaker from TUP, but I did't complain...
it hasn't been even 24hrs since congress got their seats, this is all very rushed and very unfair .
to be fair, thats a valid point, however, no congress PM can be set up until the speaker is elected, hence the need for it to be done on the first day.
However, Wigi had several days to ensure he placed a citizen up high to propose for Speaker for the election.
They're a joke list because they're people who can't be bullied by the bully boys of NE into doing/saying what they want to hear and nothing else, it's a sad day when a party within a game harkens back to the RL styles of the old Stalinist communist or Nazi mentality of Hitlers' Germany. Speed, I would suggest, is of the essence when a term is only a month long.

You can pretty much guesstimate how many seats each party will get. Guys on seats 1-4 will normally be guaranteed a congress medal.

The speaker vote is NOT held on the forums, it is held on a google document.
How do you expect the speaker to not be in a party? You MUST be in a party to run for congress and no doubt they would continue to have party ties when speaker.
Don't be mad because your PP messed up and didn't nominate someone.
P.S. Why should Party Presidents be in the congress PMs?
In real life would the Labour leader be left out of what is going on in congress ? please read what I have written below so you can understand fairness.
