South Africa in Crisis; New Alliance Emerges

Breaking News Update: Admins have finally responded to the problem and temporarily suspended President Schumacher's account for investigation.
As everyone knows by now, the nation of South Africa has come under attack for signing a deal with Brazil that willingly surrenders South African territories to Brazil. This was done in order to stave off a channer take over of the African congress. It also gives Brazil a border with Australia, opening up that nation--an ally of South Africa's through the Sol Alliance--to invasion from this hostile power.

Now, it appears that the president of South Africa, Ines Schumacher, has been compromised, her account taken over as she issued a Declaration of War on Australia. In response, one of Schumacher's biggest critics and opponents, Exilious, has claimed control of the government (note: Exilious is merely a congressman and actually has no power beyond that). The South African Ministry of Information has just released a statement saying that the presidency and the South African forums were compromised, blaming Channers for the take over and calling on people to ignore Exilious. Enoch Root has released a statement explaining the situation and giving suggestions to all South Africans.

The South African internal crisis, coupled with their deal with Brazil that is threatening Australia, threatens the stability and morale of the entire Sol Alliance. Sol officials declined to officially comment on the situation until it develops further, with a Sol Advisory Rep merely saying, "Wibble." Sol is monitoring the situation closely and hopes stability returns to the region. Despite the threat to overall morale, spirits among Sol leaders remain high and they are confident that things will come together.

New Alliance Emerges
Meanwhile, in Europe, the presidents of France, Italy, and Ukraine are creating a new alliance, called the League of the Entente. These "core nations" may not be part of any other alliance, but regular member states can be EDEN or Phoenix. The alliance does not restrict military action unless a member state is under assault. This alliance will be interesting to monitor given its location and the current isolation of its members from both EDEN and Phoenix.


United States Presses on in China
As Phoenix tries to deal with coordinated Allied assaults across the globe, the United States has continued its march through China unfettered, capturing swaths of territories as the Chinese retreat them in order to allow the Allied forces to border enemy Phoenix-held regions. We cannot stress how important it is to Follow DoD Orders; subscribe to that paper and look at the latest article before fighting for the day. If ever possible, save fights until your last log in of the day. This is an important aspect of winning against Phoenix and not falling for their distractions.
