For the last week Polish officials and people assured Hungary that Poland would never occupy Hungary's original regions - because they are not Romania's puppets and because there is a Hungarian-Polish friendship both RL and ingame.

Romanians weren't in Transilvania when Hungarians arrived. Romanians hasn't got any connection with Dacians, this is the same nationalist legend as many of us thinks that Hungarians and Huns are relatives.
Most of the Romanians arrived to Transilvania after Mongolian invasion, and later. Before Hungarian's arrival Slavs lived there.

And I think this is the point where even moderate Hungarians stopped caring about our reputation and playing fair whatever that means. You have just started region swapping with our original regions and using Poland for that, which surely adds to the insult for many (as we are friends IRL). Anyway that's only history, now Transilvania is part of Romania, but there is a big difference between Romanians claiming Budapest and Hungarians claiming Transilvania. Transilvania was Hungarian land from 896 to 1918, and many Hungarians live there nowadays, there are counties where Hungarians are in majority. But what about Budapest? It's the heart of Hungary, and Romanians have nothing to do with it.
