Some Real Life Facts About Me
JakeLeonard
Now since the formalities are done and over with, I'd like to make a brief introduction for what I do when I'm NOT on eRepublik.
1) I am currently working as a part-time radio personality for Oldies 103.3 KLOU out of St. Louis, MO and have been working there since October 2011. I have been their social media director since January of this year. (Yes, it's where my shock jock attitude came from.)
2) I have mostly been self-employed since high school and currently run three businesses: an IT business (WorldWide Publications & Media; 2004 - Present), a marketing business (I&M Marketing & Promotions; 2009 - Present) and an Internet media company (Heartland Internet Media Networks; 2007 - Present).
In addition to the above:
In the IT worl😛
I have performed tech work in my home state of Illinois as well in Missouri for companies like Blockbuster Video, International Paper, R&R Donnelley & Co. and even the Tribune Company. When I'm not doing tech work for corporations, there's never a shortage of work in my area.
In the marketing worl😛
I've done marketing campaigns for Pepsi, The Wall Street Journal, HP/Compaq, ESPN, WWE and TNA/Impact Wrestling. I'm currently a marketing consultant for Ohio Valley Wrestling and WWE's development division Florida Championship Wrestling.
In the broadcasting worl😛
When I'm not on the radio at KLOU or posting updates for them on Facebook, my Internet media company, Heartland Internet Media Networks, oversees the operation of twenty Internet radio stations (11 in USA, 6 in Canada and 3 in Australia). This includes two of my own stations, WWPM MediaNet and Revolution Radio. (Of course the first station originally launched on BlogTalkRadio and after a year, broke from the mold and became an independent station.) I'm also overseeing the production of two radio programs launching this summer, a sports show and a countdown program featuring music from the unsigned, independent and underground bands and artists.
I should also mention: I know I suck at writing here, but I'm a whole lot better elsewhere (for some odd reason - probably because I'm more dedicated to sports). I am a contributing sportswriter for CBS Sports' Bleacher Report, SportsRantz Magazine and St. Louis Post-Dispatch's STLToday.com.
I hope that's enough of my background for you.

@ G30.Jr I had to check Urban Dictionary to understand what you said there. LOL

Hey Jake I am an a very avid reader the STLPD Cardinals section. If you wouldn't mind, can you link some of your articles? I'm really really curious if I've read some of your stuff.
@JakeLeonard : Pertamaxx, which is said by G30Jr, is an Indonesian popular words (slang words) for Pertama. It means "first, the first, first position". If you search in internet you will find another meaning. Pertamax is a name of one of the products of Pertamina, the country's oil company
@ Wainwright50 I'm mainly on the prep sports beat and I just started there last month for their online site. That might very likely change when I move next month. The Herald & Review in Decatur, IL has been wanting me on their staff for quite some time on their prep sports desk since their senior writer is retiring.
@ Akluvychenko thank you for the clarification.
Looks like G30.Jr don't understand how to use Indonesian words in English LOL
A shock jock on an oldies station? Lol.
