Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. From my experience I have learned that people don’t know much about Sofia, nor Bulgaria. My country is a small one, just right next to Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Romania, and Macedonia. We have a sea side and lots of mountains. This is our biggest city with a population around 1.5 million people. It is in western Bulgaria, surrounded by mountains Sofia is the very center of the Balkan peninsula.Sofia is not that shiny and modern like some other european cities, but that is one of the beauties of this town. Here you can find everything from beautiful architectural monuments, museums and monuments to not that beutiful commie blocks and stuff. In this article i am gonna try to present you Sofia in the way i see it.

Founded thousands of years ago, today the city continues to develop as the country’s cultural and economic center.Just as i said like every big city, Sofia has something for every taste. There are a great many luxury hotels, including those that are part of international hotel chains. There is also a wide variety of hostels and smaller family guesthouses. There are a multitude of discotheques, restaurants, bars, piano bars, folk clubs, taverns, soda fountains, fast food outlets and many other kinds of entertainment.

On the lower slopes of Mount Vitosha, in the Boyana District, is located
The National Museum of History, with its collection from prehistoric times to the present day. The museum has one of the largest collections anywhere, with over 700,000 items of cultural importance. Close to the museum is The Boyana Church, one of the Bulgarian monuments that is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage sites.During the months of May and June, The Palace of Culture will welcome performers participating in the festival “Sofia Music Weeks.” The capital’s many theaters and galleries offer a wide range of interesting exhibits and shows.

This article is meant to show you something more, but if you are willing to visit Sofia soon i have good news for you.A State of Trance(ASOT) is coming here for a great show that you will not forget. If you want to be here in time you have to be fast there is not much time left to the start of the show, only 10 days so grab your passports and go right to the airport.
