Join the new world

Dear eIndians,
This is Zere, congress member, the chief editor of Mighty Times and of course, proud citizen of eIndia.

Like all you know my second congress term is coming to end, I think it is good to tell a little bit what I did in congress and also what generally happened in the congress. I hope this article could be some kind report for the past month and hopefully raise little talk about our current Congress system.

First days were the most urgent time in the congress, like always. New congress members asked access to Congress topic, there were many exp. proposals and we agreed on the forum about IRC meeting.

Our First Fails
- People who asked access to congress section did not get it right away (I don’s speak the secret one)
- We didn’t have Head of Congress like in last term
- Really big fail! Congress meeting never happened on IRC
- And of course these gold/exp. hunters and quitters give bad hit to our reputation



After firsts days congress were quiet sleepy. Sometimes we have some kind real proposals but those usually were MPP’s and money donations to Indian Government Bank which congress nicely approved. Like I say it was sleepy and boring time.


Our new president Abhi’s welcome message proposal on the fourm, did wake up little bit congress but unfortunately some were in deep sleep. Before Abhi’s welcome message topic, I start my own topic about Citizenships. My idea on the new citizenship law was to do much simpler and secure job for Congress. There were only four people who send comments for my law proposal and it was on forum about 6-8 days before I put that on forum voting. New citizenship law was approved for 4-0 results. Voting time as usual was that 24 hours. And of course I shout this voting put it didn’t wake up congress…where was head of congress? It was not even selected.

We returned our normal, boring and sleepy order of the day but at least we got head of congress, shriman. After that congress wake up again a little bit. We start talked about congress black list but it didn’t go any where, I think.

Near end of the term congress got again big fail. Two articles which will explain what happened.
- LAW PROPOSAL REJECTED
- We Need More Rupees

Now our congress glorious season is coming to end and soon is time to choose new one. My term was not great not even good maybe decent is good word? At least I were on IRC four times it have to be my personal record 😛 but every day I checked forum. Like some you now I don’t tolerate IRC communication system for lead the country, I prefer forum.

New congress election is coming and we have PTO danger like always. So there probably will be same old faces running up (lincluding me) but hopefully we get some new active faces. I have to say that I have big expectations for our new congress. I know, we are small country but we can’t wait baby boom to fix everything up. Example: Finland has about 300-400 people more than eIndia but their congress (and also forum) is much more active than ours. Don’t know why? Maybe they are so nerdy country or half of our population is PTOers. Still I am sure we could at least get 15 active congress members which read daily on forum and know what happened around them.

My dreams for new congress are!

1. Build active and workable communication
- Head talk should happen on the forum, IRC is good way to send fast info. Maybe also head of Congress should send PM’s all congress members about big things like shriman have done now (Points for him)

2. Build easy and simple congress-work structure
- How important (like taxes) and simple (donations) proposals should manage? How about non-laws which congress member cannot direct propose on the game? Like my Citizenship law. How then we act? When these things are clear maybe one day we might get our own constitution on the forum….

3. Last but not least, what is our congress function and what they can really do? (Please don’t give me this crap what eRepublik allow us to do)
- Example can president only impose war? Should congress to be able to talk these things with president and her cabinet? What is congress place in separation of powers? Is congress mighty resource or big load of monkeys which needs to be protecting against PTO.


Rome wasn't built in a day but hopefully our new upcoming congress takes a big step towards!
