This poor baby was rejected by its young parents so it was hand reared from the day it hatched by my daughter Katy (she still hates you Henry).

I'll let the pics tell the story:

Smudgie is now about 5 weeks old and perching. He will be weaned soon. 🙂

Love it, the idea's and responsibility that your installing in your daughter about hating Henry.... oh and also about raising the bird.

The 3rd and the 5th photo reminds me of something that would be trying to kill you in Jurassic Park

If you want to know about why she hates Henry, it was years ago that I was talking to him on IRC about her love for anime and he said "what, girls don't like anime". She was not impressed. lol

OMG. I just watched this. Funny as but I'm glad our birdies don't do this. We don't teach ours swears as some of these birds will live longer that my kids will and will need to be rehomed if or when that time comes.

I'm not an avid bird fancier but do have a soft spot for those in need. I would be the idiot that tosses earthworms back to the grass after a rain storm so they don't dry up.

I was never a bird fan, but they grow on you. I also can't turn away a creature in need and a lot of our birdies are rescues from bad situations.
