Smells like Liberation

Day 789, 03:31 Published in South Africa South Africa by eSouth African Presidency

Brazil and our small nation have never really had a good relationship. We recently became friends with them, but the friendship was always tainted by events of the past.
With the emergence of the Channers we faced a massive threat that we as country felt could very possible spell the end of us. We asked for Brazils help. We region swapped with them so that we could have less seats to defend during the congressional. The plan was good and we trusted our new friends. We signed a contract with them that although invalid showed an agreement that should be honored by friends. A clause in the contract stated that Brazil would not use our regions for war. Almost immediately they broke this agreement with us and declared war on Australia. We felt like fools. It became clear that as a country Brazil cared little for us or our reputation. They took our neutral stance and spat on it.
And if that was not enough, when Australia started getting the advantage in the war Brazil decided to RW the regions that we had given them just before congressional, opening up a massive risk for us in that we had 10 seats that were suddenly open to anyone who wanted them, including our enemies.

As a first call of duty as President I contacted the Brazilian CP and asked for him to open negotiations for Gauteng. He told me that the chance would be almost Zero that this would succeed. As of yet, I am yet to hear if negotiations were opened. We received two constructions from Brazil but the hospital has been pulled off the market by them at the start of the RW. We are fortunate that we were able to place the Defence System.
Brazil still owes us 300G for the battle and war costs acquired during the agreement we had with them. Jazar has indicated to me that this is not outstanding (invalid contract) and that when they have finished using money for other endeavors (PHOENIX Battles) that we will get it.
So as it stands now, Brazil screwed us over with Australia and by all means it was our money that was used for this offensive.

As your President this was unacceptable to me and I started discussing with my cabinet a way to regain Gauteng for us as we are the rightful owner. I contacted Australia and the EDEN SG.
Things were coming together. We were going to let Australia through to liberate Gauteng with the help of EDEN but at the end of the day the plan was seen to cost too much and EDEN was not sure if they could trust us. The plan was abandoned for now.

EDEN has not abandoned us however. A RW has been initiated and this is my orders
