To my eSerbian readers, ма опет ја нешто њамке о комуникацији. Удри на глас ако ти се да.

THE DEATH OF CHATTING

A few months ago they killed chatting. That was a move that did not make any fuss, as most of the active eRep population didn’t spend any time there, anyway. IRC was such a better solution for instant-communication between players.
National chatrooms on eRepublik were a joke from the very beginning.

THE DEATH OF PAPERS

Along came a much more controversial move from …Plato.
Freedom of speech was limited. Not really killed, but they definitely lessened the amount of communication between different societies(ecountries). It would have been logical if they sai😛 ‘Thou can only print in the country you’re in’ but no, they had to tie it to your citizenship.
That decision made the situation a bit harder for TO teams, but it also killed international trolling which was one of the strongest motivating forces for some groups, be they the trolls or the ones the trolling was directed at. Trolling is fun!
The problem was bridged by the use of org-papers, but then they decided to kill orgs too. 😑

OLD THINGS BECOME NEW THINGS ONCE AGAIN

We’re back to square one!
Which is good. We can finally feel what our ancestors felt like, back in the Stone Age, when shouting and screaming at eachother was the only way to get your message through.
You know what would be cool? If they let us use smoke-signals to communicate with different countries. You can’t communicate through war with everyone, right?

Oh, and now we can see the heroes in our battles. I find that uber awesome. Now I can worship their super-fabulous avatars right there on homepage! I don’t even have to click on the battle-link to see them(as most of us don’t even fight that much anymore XD ). Such a time-saver. Thank you, Plato!

THE BEST THING

-is that all of this came from our own requests. I can’t even remember how many articles about extra 27 shouts or battleheroes on the homepage there have been. Those features are something we always wanted. And demanded!
Thank you, once again, Plato!

THE POINT

Spamming increases.
Communication dies.
Newspapers die.
Citizens die.

Cool, no?
