Shikoku, 4:05 Day 1721, prelude to the siege.

Day 1,721, 04:54 Published in Japan Japan by Tetsuya Tameru

Moments after the new Emperor declared that the government would be seiging the party headquarters, the room was abuzz with panic and disorder.

Tetsuya sighed, then stood and boomed "SILENCE!!" The room quieted.

Settling into a gendo pose, he brought up a holo-map of the island of shikoku, with the headquarters compound in the center. "Assemble our influenced police and place the island under lockdown. First go to the stations and arrest and disarm all police who do not support us, they are to be placed on boats and ferried to the mainland. Ahava, you will join our troops in this. Zodiarque, take a contingent and seize the armory. The rest of you, set to work establishing defences, first with our building, and then the rest of the island. Use any supporters we have for this, and call as many as you can to arms." He stood and walked to the wall, taking down his Katana. "I must speak to the Emperor."

All across Japan, Sakurakai supporters would be rallying to head to shikoku, bolstering numbers for the defense of the island. Likewise, many who did not support the party would be fleeing the island. As such, there was a flurry of small craft around the island, and one could not tell who belonged to whose side. The exception was a trio of destroyers from the mothballed JINS. Within an hour, Tetsuya was standing on the deck of the central destroyer, and a courier had been dispatched bidding the new emperor to have talks before the conflict could actually occur.

Sakurakai itself does not have its own professional military unit, and Tetsuya knew that a defense might not hold out for long, even if it would be next to impossible to starve the island out, seeing as agriculture is its main economy. He had to speak to the emperor.

the message read. "Congratulations on your ascension Heika-dono. I feel I cannot help but feel personally betrayed. Not all Sakurakai are traitors, and it is a matter of honor that I must defend my party members, even if I myself do not oppose you personally. Please, let us have talks to see if we can reach some sort of understanding. Please, meet me upon my vessel, SSDF Chihiro and we can discuss this as men, not with fire. You may bring your honor guard of course, as I will bring mine."

Tetsuya waited, surveying the flurry of ships around him.
