Shifting Gears: Wellness and Integration Drive

Day 637, 17:21 Published in Greece USA by United Underdog

This seems to be a good time to shift the focus of my efforts, given these factors:

* I go back to University on Monday, and so I will have to learn to budget my eRep time.
* I have taken several donations, and I promised a full accounting of (1) tickets sent and what happened to those who received them, (2) cost of tickets, and (3) amount of donations received. Doing a lower volume of distribution, and spending less time on it, will let me do that soon.
* As countries such as Canada, the USA, and Spain are (hopefully) rebuilt, many immigrants will want to go back to live and work in those countries. I want to make that decision a hard one.
* Many of the people who have come here, aided by me or otherwise, have low wellness (below 40 being the most critical cases needing gifts, above 40 being cases in need of education). Given that employers are paying internationally competitive wages, it's very hard on them to employ such people. Given that these employees are the first to be fired, it's hard on them too.
* The price of tickets has shot up, largely due to the election cycle (the 25th inspires many people to move voters around).

I will still be giving two free tickets to those caught in conquered regions who want to move to Greece. I just won't be advertising this so heavily myself. I don't mind word of mouth referrals, or people who request tickets in any other way. I could very well return to advertising free tickets for immigration later on, but not for now.

This is an open opportunity for those who have less than 40 wellness to contact me. If you are a Greek citizen, I will try to direct you to the proper channels of Greek government for helping you improve your wellness. I am not quite sure what they are (I believe there is a Google response form), so I will await clarification from a comment in reply to this article.

Update: Greek citizens should contact the Ministry of New Players if they are having trouble with wellness being below 40 or other problems starting out.

If you are an immigrant, I will dig directly into my pocket to help you with higher quality food and gifts, so long as you are capable of following instructions, because here is the important part:

Once you get over 40 wellness, the hospital can get you above 90 and to stay above 90... pretty much forever and for free. This is the most important part... the educational aspect. My next article will explain how to fight, how to use the hospital, how not to do it wrong, and why it all matters.

I will also be trying to help newcomers with (1) using automated online tools as a crutch for getting the gist of the Greek-language press that is published in Greece, (2) fostering the expression of ideas and sentiments of residents of Greece in the language with which they have the most facility - they need not be passive observers of life in Greece, (3) understanding what the citizenship module allows and does not allow and why the process is necessarily slow and selective, but fair, (4) helping them to be able to identify the fights in which Greece is involved and to purchase weapons when it is necessary, and (5) encouraging them to make sound economic decisions, from making the right career path choice to opening a business in Greece (it is a great time!). In all this, all of us both Greek and non-Greek will be enriched as we spend our days together in this great land.

And everyone should register with the bilingual Greek-English forums for eGreece at http://egreece.forumotion.com -- this is the place where the most active and oldest citizens are sure to see things; for example, Congress has their discussions here. It needs more activity from our newer members.
