Sense of community and how it affects - article series about anything [pt1.]

Day 1,598, 10:49 Published in USA Finland by t0b1

It's Thursday. Drinking coffee, as usual. With a drop of milk, no sugar. There's a lot of reasons why I started this newspaper, one of them is theme of today's article.

When I started this game in last October, my first country, and RL home, Finland was babybooming. A whole generation of new players were born, including me. Some stayed, some not. I worked, trained and fought, but that was pretty much everything. I knew only two people playing this, and I was probably annoying them with all my stupid questions and "new" things I found.

Some day, I reached the point when I was about to quit. My account had almost no currencies, factories or gold. Being member of biggest military unit in Finland wasn't helping at all - we were like group of people on a rush-time buss.
Way I used to be.

One of my few acquaintances were in the Finnish national military unit with weekly supply drop and irc activity needed, and I decided to join. Main reason was supplies, but that probably "saved" my interest to this and maintained my need to learn new things. I got new contacts and we had great time, competing against other small groups inside that MU.
Brotherhood - our way.

Our little group was separeted, so we had somekind of a break, everyone were making their own career. I found new, first real political home from party focusing on economics. Same time things in Finland were getting worse because of some people and I moved to India, for the sake of my own economical wealthy. It was great, stable time, but hunger was getting bigger. That MU I used to belong, changed. Support was needed sometimes.

After some thinking, I decided to join my friends and move to USA. I settled quick, and found second political home.

Having a break during battle with old and new friends.

Now i'm proud member of USAF and Conservative Party is my new polical home. It's been quite a hectic time since I joined army back in the Finland, but it's been worth it. It's the community that makes this interesting, and IRC is my main tool for it now, and hopefully long to the future.
As final words, I like to thank you, reader for reading this wall of perhaps bad english and last, but most important, you, all my past, today and future friends, acquaintances and even haters.

Great times.
