Senator Dmalicious' Press Office: July Announcement

A voting record won't come this night, or any night for the remainder of my term in the 19th Congress. I apologize to the constituents of Virginia that I have let down by reneging on such a promise, however, as real life responsibilities grow greater in number and magnitude, it becomes more and more apparent that I simply do not have the time to be fully engaged in eRepublik.

That is why I am hereby announcing my intentions not to run for re-election on July 25.

I will continue to serve my elected term in congress, voting and debating with the citizens of Virginia in my thoughts, however, I simply will not have the time to fully dedicate myself to the game. I know this and I don't wish to give false hope to the voters which have sent me to congress twice.

I will also continue to serve in my capacity as a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Health Foundation as well as continue to publish useful articles in my newspaper.

Congress has been the best months I've had on eRepublik. It's been a fun and enlightening experience as I've witnessed and discussed major and minor policy decisions throughout my term. Whoever is elected to replace me, I wish them all the best.

As for myself, I think that besides my capacity in the AHF and my usual statistics reporting, I'll do a little two-clicking for some time. Eventually I'll return to politics, but for now I'll serve out my term and watch from the sidelines, waiting for a successor to take the reigns of one of the greatest states in the eUSA.
