S.E.E.S.: In Conflict and Victory
2nd Operation: Podolia
The SEESlings were assembled in the briefing room. A tense atmosphere permeated the room, most of the soldiers unaware of what the future would bring. Many were sure that the end of days was nigh, and that Dio would soon return all to the sand. All such thoughts were dismissed when Field Marshal Max Wallingbottom III, the Desert Fox and Commandant of the Super Soldiers, walked into the room. The room was quiet enough to hear a pin drop as the Commandant turned on the projector. A map of Podolia was displayed on the screen at the front of the room. “Tonight” Wallingbottom said, “we will be deploying to Podolia to assist the Poles with ‘liberating’ the region from the Huns.” He pointed to an area at the south end of the map. “Air units will deploy here, then skim around the edge of the AA defenses. Once west of the river, they will open up safe landing zones for the Ground forces. Once deployed, you are to move north, and hit the Hun flank. Primary targets for this operation are the two hospitals south of the capital. Once those are taken, proceed to secondary objectives. Dismissed.” The personnel saluted, then filed out of the room to prepare for battle.
Within an hour, the C-130s were loaded, and ready to take off. The air units had deployed several minutes before, as it would take around 10 minutes to secure a landing zone for the ground troops. As the C-130s prepared for takeoff, a call was heard through the radio. “This is J Manizzle, several Air units have had to abort due to mechanical failure. I’m the only helo left in the air, Please advise.”
“This is Commandant Wallingbottom, do not abort, proceed with mission, repeat proceed with mission.”
“Roger that Commandant, be advised, I am encountering sparse AA fire.”
“Noted, proceed to the designated position and hold while ground forces deploy.”
“Roger that Commandant, ETA to objective 5 minutes.”
The airfield outside the SEES Headquarters was abuzz with activity, as the aircraft carrying the hardened warriors of the SS to deliver some good ol’ fashioned raep to the Hungarian defenders. Within minutes, the transport aircraft were tiny dots in the sky, heading towards a foreign battlefield. A Fuhrer shaped figure could be seen saluting in their direction as he shed a manly tear at not being able to join his troops in GLORIOUS battle.
---
Despite J Manizzle pulling a miracle out of his arse and single handedly securing a landing zone, there was still some anti-aircraft fire directed towards the transports. “This is Viking 2-3, we took a hit in the engine, aborting drop and returning to airfield, repeat aborting drop.”
“What is your payload Viking 2-3?”
“One tank, Commandant.”
“Acceptable losses. Proceed to allied airbase in North Basarbia. We’ll send a transport to bring you and your payload home… Good news everyone, Spanish tanks are hitting the west flank.”
Sure enough, across the horizon, Tanks emblazoned with the red and yellow standard could be seen pushing across the bridge towards the capital. The attention of the soldiers wasn’t there long, as Wallingbottom’s voice could be heard once more through the radio. “All SS units, we are over the drop zone, prepare for deployment.”
In short order, each of the transport planes dropped their troops on the deployment zone. Once all the troops were landed, the combined forces of SEES moved north, towards the waiting Hungarians.
---
Fierce fighting had broken out as the spearhead assaulted the initial Hungarian defenses. Suddenly, over the radio Wallingbottom called out “The Spanish forces have given up their attack on the west flank. I’ve just spoken with their commander, and they’re joining our assault. Continue towards the primary objectives!” With new momentum, thanks to the Spanish tanks, the assault broke through Hungarian defenses, and their target was in sight.
“Commandant, recon units place 2 divisions defending the primary objective. Please advise.”
“Proceed with allied units and attack the east hospital. Once that objective is secure, attack the west hospital. Once all primary objectives are secure, capture secondary targets at your discretion. Command has designated the capital and as secondary objectives. Once all secondary objectives are secure, either proceed to extraction point or continue securing unsecured sectors. All units copy?”
“Roger that commandant, proceeding to objective.”
While numerous, most of the defenders were inexperienced, using inferior equipment. They were quickly defeated, and the hospital was in EDEN hands. When the SEES forces attempted to heal, their insurance was denied. After a collective WTF MAN!? The staff explained that the administration of the hospital had recently changed the rules without notice. With a collective facepalm, Allied forces, shouldered their gear, got back in their tanks, and commenced the attack on the second hospital. In less time than the first, the second hospital’s defenses fell. After assigning several tanks to the defense of the hospitals, the remaining SEES and Spanish forces marched on the capital, under bombardment by Hun artillery, and strafing by Hun Air units. Despite taking heavy losses, they eventually prevailed, and the Polish flag flew over the city that day. “Alright my little hamstas, All primary and secondary objectives achieved. It looks like the US military is dropping in, and we can head home. All Super Soldiers to extraction points. Good job SEES.”
The Super Soldiers boarded their flights home, confident that the region would be secured by the remaining attackers. Unbeknownst to them, the Hungarians were working on a terrible new weapon: The atom BAWWWWmb

I SEES your point... Voted hard 😑
I'm proud that you guys could vacation in Scotland. thank Canada for liberating it.
*did the 6th most Canadian damage*
Once again a Private militia loyal only to a political party thinks it should recruit openly and drag forces away from the US Military...
Militia's are a drain on the nation.
@Relorian Sorry to break it to ya brah, but we aren't the reason you're losing soldiers.
Hey Relorian, since we're speaking of drains on the nation, let's talk about how militias are self sufficient, and don't DRAIN THE NATION'S TAX DOLLARS. Also, where do you lose the connection that parties are loyal to the country, obviously, and by association, their militas are, too? Why can you not understand that.
I SEES the future.
@Emerick, nice to see you attempting to reply in a serious manner, however you fail to realize a few things.
1. Militias are loyal to their political parties first, nation second. If their political bosses tell them not to fight, they obey that order even if its counter to the interests of the nation.
2. Militias are NOT self sufficient. They depend on either donations or government funding to keep themselves running. Thats money that should be going to the actual military or other programs.
I personally think that any and all militia's should be disbanded as they are in the long run more harmful to their country than they are good. Politics is politics, Military matters are Military matters. Mixing the 2 has long proven to be a double edged sword full of would be dictators and tyrants.
"Militias are loyal to their political parties first, nation second. If their political bosses tell them not to fight, they obey that order even if its counter to the interests of the nation." You seem to be implying that our leader would put anything before his nation. This man has done more for America than you can ever hope to. He always does, and always has done what is best for this nation, and I will brook no insults to his character.
@Relorian The SS is basically self sufficient. The government stipend is merely a fraction of what a single branch in the military would receive. A large majority of our income is generated from communes and working together. However, with the little bit of money we do receive, we are able to turn the tides of battles and be far more effective than the general military. This is clearly evidenced by your declining numbers and our growing roster. Keep believing what you want though...
o im such a hero
SEES as long as you put your country before the interests of your party and or greed, then i have no problem. But as soon as you forget loyalty for your country, then i SEES a problem. We shall SEES the future of your militia. Perhaps the SEES militia will help the eUS in these tough times, or maybe it won't. I can only hope for the first option 'o'
>implying that SEES has the ability to experience greed
>implying that SEES militia hasn't already helped
Some things are best left unsaid.
"who does your art? because i gotta say, that shits pretty pimp." It is the handiwork of none other than the commandant himself.
Militias loyal to their political parties first, or even at all, isn't that called fascism?
God, I wish
@Max "However, with the little bit of money we do receive, we are able to turn the tides of battles and be far more effective than the general military. This is clearly evidenced by your declining numbers and our growing roster."
[citation needed]
If you're so self-sufficient, don't accept funds from the government anymore.
Yeah, let's turn down free money while the guys who are sustained by 50x more than we get are crumbling.
Yeah, try turning it down. If you're self-sufficient, why are you fleecing the taxpayers? /sarcasm .... Still waiting hear how the militia is "far more effective than the military" and is "turning the tides of battles". Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you guys are doing a fine job on the battlefield and with your communes. I just think you might be embellishing your recruitment propaganda just a tad.
That first pic looks pretty technocratic. voted.
Maruishima, I left the AB because my whole platoon quit, promotions were being handed out left and right to compensate for the losses, and from what I heard, this is happening wholesale. We have turn the tide in 3 battles in the last 2 days. We were the ones who opened up the south in Podoila which led to the quick cap of the capital, too bad the battle was rescinded. Last night we led the charge and capped 2 UK maps in about 3hrs. I'm sure many Canadians can attest to our effectiveness. Too bad the mil was busy capping tiles in Dublin when it didn't matter during this period. And about the money, we actually haven't received a dime on about 2 weeks, when we do, the amount will be laughable compared to the funding given to any branch.
Max: People are leaving the game, not just the military. Your whole platoon didn't quit (another exaggeration?). A platoon was cut to fill the vacancies in the other platoons. --- As for your effectiveness last night: Europe was asleep. It wasn't exactly a great feat to "turn the tide" when there's nobody on the battlefield. It ebbs and flows based on the time of day, which is why we lost the battle. Most Americans aren't able to fight when these battles are coming to a close because they're at work. Again, I'm not trying to diminish your contributions. Just pointing out the exaggerations and the blatant propaganda trying to make the military look bad for the benefit of SEES. See for yourself: http://erep.maxihellas.com/bestcountryfighters.aspx
Stop trying to diminish our contributions and release your butthurt elsewhere please. Thanks in advance.
I'm sorry, there were 2 members left out of the 9-10 originally when I resigned. Even the 2 left weren't the most active, as they were never on IRC (thus, making them useless in V2). So, the readers can decide if it was an exaggeration. I really didn't want to turn this into a protracted militias v. the military discussion, but we have just as much right as anyone to recruit. We haven't targeted the military any more than the general populace.
And, Yes, the battles are about ebb and flow. Knowing when to show up and where to send troops can make a difference in a battle. I was stating: why waste damage in a battle where it didn't really matter that evening, when it could have been directed where it counted? This is because your current systems are outdated. We are merely offering an alternative.
❤ SEES ❤
@Max: Your platoon was cut because the CO stepped down and we wanted to fill out the other platoons. There were five people in your platoon at that time before they were reassigned, and 9 in the platoon to which you were reassigned. So I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers. Doesn't really matter. --- Recruit away, I'm not trying to stop you. I don't know if you're deliberately misrepresenting them or just ignorant of them: just get your facts about the military straight. --- As for wasting damage: defeating an enemy limits their viability later, no matter where it's done. Besides, we fight where our Generals tell us to fight. In all likelihood, it's with the President's knowledge and approval based on discussions between him and the JCS.
Lol @ butthurt US military. I remember when they used to troll every ST6 article like this.
I wish Emerick really looked like that avatar on the SEES propaganda. That would be kind of hawt.
