SEES, a History

Day 1,041, 15:01 Published in USA USA by Tom McDougal

Before you read this I asked some people what they thought about SEES as you read these responses I’ll ask you to do the same. Think about what SEES means to you and be ready to throw that out the window.

SEES runs an awesome militia, and are pretty integral to the running of the country.

The party that is full of some of the most annoyingly egotistical, emerick worshiping players in the game

SEES is like the sex tape you told yourself you were going to delete

SEES is predictably unpredictable.

When asked what posed more of a threat to the eUS military vs. SEES.....SEES is much, much more dangerous, imo

I was the third major member recruited into SEES by JP and Krems as they were in need of cool people who knew how to troll and when they heard I got permabanned for rickrolling PEACE (back when rickrolling was funny), they invited me to join them. I was ecstatic; finally I had found people who had come to think about the game the same way I did. I found a home, something I hadn’t had since before my ban.

Krems and JP came up with the idea of a troll army, a combination of a miltia and an army of trolls who would help push the eUS in the right direction. Away from the boring mess of stupidity, it was an enlightened place to call home. I soon coined the term “eTerrorist Organization” after reading about a similar group in Canada before the war called COBRA. I started shouting about SEES and spreading the word in congress saying that this “eTerrorist Organization” needed to be stopped etc. JP and Krems made cryptic posts about SEES on the forums. In general we were just trying to create an aura of both fear and secrecy .

This plan brought loads of attention upon us, mostly negative, especially after we borrowed the unused Flufferton Awards and claimed we stole them. We used the awards to mock the government and troll the media’s biggest failures while maintaining the goals of the awards. It was one of our first great successes and along with the release of Emerick’s article from beyond the grave, it became part of our coming out party.

Our long-term goal was simple, spark peoples interests and make the game fun “by any means necessary.” We were an enemy at the time when the country needed something to hate, to keep them interested. All the stuff we did, including the little stuff like sacrificing Dan Wang and resetting Alee Ann’s post count on the forums (would like to thank PiZ for that) was done for our own enjoyment and the merriment or hatred of the people around us.

I had real life stuff to take care (I broke my leg while mugging an 8 year old) so I missed Emerick’s comeback and the formation of SEES as a party. I feel those were our two biggest mistakes. Emerick has always had a big ego and when he came back from his “vacation” and saw that we had a whole group of people, willing to do anything he asked with even more people on the outside who would gladly join him, he decided it was time to make a party that was all about him. At the time, from what I heard from the other leaders, they thought it was a great idea. Had I been there I probably would have agreed. You have to understand we were all friends with Emerick who never expected to see or hear from him again. We had made him into this symbol of just pure awesomeness and frankly, we used him to make SEES into what it was and it’s the only thing I actually regret doing, not because of what happened, but because it was a messed up thing to do. (JP disagrees and felt it necessary but who cares he should write his own memoir if he finds mine so flawed.)

I think in the end every person who had agreed to follow Emerick in his dream of making a new party regretted it. We lost our autonomy, we had to worry about pissing people off and being diplomatic, we had to deal with Emerick not as an equal but as a leader. As an equal, he is awesome and he has great ideas and knows how this game works, but if you put him in charge of something or let his ego run unchecked for too long, he turns into Emeridick, a Texas mafia member hellbent on fellating himself. Outsiders will say we created many terrible, terrible things, but none had ever said the worst thing we made. The worst thing we created was Emerick. By the time I got back, feelings on Emerick had already started to shift. We got tired of him not doing any work, making relations with other parties more difficult, and coming in and screwing up the elections at the last minute. That was what triggered the first revolt and all the elders quit doing jobs for the party but stayed on to advise and continue our trolling. Emerick managed to cobble together a new core of members to work for him but none of them lasted very long.

June and July were quiet months where the original members of SEES pushed hard to get GF elected. We were just as shocked about the events of GF Day as everyone else as we really really liked GF. He was the 4th member of SEES and was always a major influence in all the things we did. He was awesome at whatever he did running for POTUS, being British, Being awesome and ,Quiting. His leaving coupled with the fact that BR was president put us in a deep depression.
We recovered just in enough time to start pushing for a Krems Presidency. During his administration, watching the criticism he was taking even though he is the only POTUS to ever take a highly valuable region from an enemy country and hold it was the last straw for the elders. This man was amongst the most successful presidents in American history, and they were ready to throw him out of office for Cromstar. Krems didn't just take one, he took three regions, protected them the best possible way by giving two of them to our allies and pretty much much took away Russia’s status as one of the most powerful PHOENIX countries. Sure, Jewitt rented Karnatakka but we OWN FER and Poland and China own the other two regions. We had had enough of the eUS’s stupidity, we we’re done. We decided we would go back to Dio’s homeland and make that into the best country it possibly could be. I’m one of the last to leave because I didn't want to abandon my congress post (aka awesome XP) or the country with Krems still in the drivers seat.
It’s time for me to leave now and it pains me to see The SEES that was an unstoppable force for fun and chaos is long gone and dead. The SEES of today was a shell of its former self we could barely beat the ADTP in congressional elections. I can’t even name five people in the ADTP and they almost beat us in last election. All the people who left understand it’s not the same party we helped build. Today is the end of SEES officially all the founding members will have left or will soon leave. The party we leave behind is very very different then the one created all those months ago. I wish it the best of luck and count many of its members friends of mine, but it is time for me to move on. As a founding member of SEES I cut all ties from the party. You should associate none of its previous actions with what is left of the party like wise none of SEES’ actions from this day forth should be attributed to anyone who was previously in the party. SEES is still the best party in the US but that doesn't say very much for the rest of you.

P.S.I’m not mad at emerick I was just disappointed he wouldn’t listen to his friends. I hope me bringing all this stuff out into the public doesn’t piss you off too much. I really wish you the best of luck and if you ever need anything you know I'm the guy to talk to.

P.P.S. To any and all groups claiming to have beat us i lol @ even the suggestion of it. The only people who could ever beat us were ourselves and in the end its true. We are fed up and bored with America's stupidity. That is why we left not because of any group or individual but because you presented us with no challenge. As someone I'm fond of says SEES didn’t fail America, America failed SEES.

for our list of dubious achievements: Better question might be “What didn’t they do ?”

Some thoughts from JP: The greatest thing about SEES was the people we brought in. We brought in the people who would scratch, attack, bite, yell, and every other aggressive yet slightly erotic actions in the political realm. During Krems’ first term, this proved true as Krems was so busy, not much got done (for a long time at least) and no one important called him on it even though people had to have known. When people did speak up, we destroyed their arguments due to their arguments being nothing but dribble. So really, thanks for being retards
Another thing that amazed us was how we hated the party yet we were one of the best when we did anything. It was the first realization that the country was terrible. A group of half-assed trolls could create one of the best parties, not in numbers, but in efficiency and position. Every time we messed up, it goes back to the first paragraph, no one could put together a coherent enough argument that we couldn’t hit somewhere. So again, thanks for being retards
