Second eOlympic Games Coming! [US]

Day 806, 14:55 Published in USA USA by Zanmor

Excuse the light spam, this is a rather selfless article and this idea and the work put into it really deserves to be seen. And maybe our governments would be willing to work out something between eWhite Rabbit Holdings so that any number of folks with US or Canadian citizenship could enter and compete for free, the governments having footed the bill.

The eOlympic games, managed by eWhite Rabbit Holdings, are a great monthly activity for those of you looking for something more to do and perhaps to win some prizes. Simply visit the site and start training once every day for the event of your choice. Be sure to register for the upcoming games. Some events are free to compete in while others cost a .5 gold entrance fee (though those games promise larger prizes for the winners).

Last month’s games were hosted by eAustralia and this month they will be in eGreece (on the 20th). Do not worry however, as you can train and even compete in the games without traveling to the hosting nation. Also, training and competing does not affect your wellness.
For those of you concerned that those who started training last month will have an insurmountable advantage in the games, simply take a look at the formula used to calculate the results when you compete:
R = (S + E) x W x N

Where:
S = Event Skill
E = Equipment gain
W = Wellness
N = Random modifier (number between 0.90 and 2.00)

The random modifier means even people who are joining late have a chance to compete, though of course those who maximize the factors they control stand the best chance.

For example, my current skill is 3.25 and I can purchase equipment (let’s be honest, ‘roids) for .5 gold, giving my skill a .75 boost for competition for a total of 4 skill even in the calculation. If I compete at full wellness and get a lucky roll from the random modifier then I can have a result of 800 at my skill. Someone with a total skill of 8.00 (7.25 skill plus equipment of .75) competing at 100 wellness and a bad random roll of .9 will have a result of 787.5. So as you can see, someone with less than half the skill still has a chance if they get lucky. Make sure your wellness is full when you compete, and if you’re playing to win then you need to buy equipment.

Also note that you can get above 3 skill in less than 2 weeks of clicking daily. Just focus on one skill and go for it. There's still time before the next games to make a decent showing, especially in the two brand new (free) events, Kayaking and Weightlifting.

Finally, the games are open for 48 hours, so you can compete in your event twice. Be sure to do so! Have equipment for both times (just like weapons for a big battle) and make sure your wellness is at max. Then just cross your fingers and do your country proud! Bring home some medals for the Brolliance (and even EDEN)!
