SEAL Team 6 Presents: Tanks for Tots

Day 1,510, 13:56 Published in USA Canada by The.Dude

It is with great pleasure that I announce what we hope will be the first run of a semi-annual event...... Tanks for Tots, hosted by your own SEAL Team Six.

How it will work:

Over the next two weeks (ending on day 1524) you will be seeing articles popping up from various members of ST6. While these articles will differ in content, the point will be the same. ST6 is in the process of running a massive drive seeking donations to help the new players of the eUS. Heading this mission will be ST6’s XO of Operations Maxx Johnson. We will seek to collect donations of food, weapons, cash, and even houses over the next two weeks. Once the drive is completed, members of ST6 will work to distribute these donations to the new players of the eUS in an effort to get them more involved in the game through the eUS Forums, and more involved in the military aspect of the game. Throughout the donation drive we will post articles recognizing and listing our current donors, you will also receive a thank you note from members of ST6 command. We realize this is not a cuddle-pink-hug, but hope the nature of the cause is good enough to drive it anyway!

Donations may be made to Maxx Johnson . If you make a donation, please try to include a pm with what you donate as it makes record keeping that much easier.

To kick off the donation drive, Maxx has pledged 100,000 wellness in food to the campaign.

Distribution:
In addition to wanting to help out the younger players of the eUS there is a secondary goal with this drive, and that is to drive potential activity. We have attempted to set the distribution requirements accordingly.
- Distribution will take place on the eusaforums through a thread so new players will need to both register and participate at least to an extent
- Recipients will be required to be a member of an eUS-based MU. If they are not, they will be encouraged to join the Civilian Military Unit and the benefits of doing so will be explained to them
- Throughout the process Boot Camp will be promoted (for those interested in joining a structured MU) and the Civilian Military Unit will be promoted (for those who are not interested in a structured MU).
- We will set a strength and rank maximum which is yet to be determined.

Now, I do want to take a minute to address a few concerns. Obviously any time you seek donations there will be skeptics, so we’d like to take a minute to head that off right at the onset.

- This is not a recruitment push for ST6. To be quite blunt, we don’t need help in recruiting, and we currently have a waitlist of nearly two weeks on applications. We are also turning away applicants and encouraging them to join other units.
- Throughout the process Boot Camp and the Civilian MU will be encouraged and promoted as these are “official” military units for the country that new players can work as a part of, however other units will not be discriminated against.
- ST6 members are of course excluded from any of the proceeds of the donations.

I think that wraps up the first article of this sort. If you are interested in donating please send all donations to Maxx Johnson.
