Scandinavian Wars [Day 1] – Tricky jumping

Day 913, 23:36 Published in Sweden Sweden by Maximilian
Scandinavia has after a long sleep entered the war scene, where the big boys hang out. It all started with a very clever region swapping, where Sweden attacked Nord-Norge (Norway). The president of Norway retreated from that battle, giving Sweden an open door towards one big enemy: Russia.

It’s not very uncommon that Sweden and Russia likes to be on different sides of each other. Real life history speaks of extreme battles such as the battle of Narva, even if Sweden’s main enemy in Erepublik is Germany and has been for a long time.

Anyway, Sweden attacked Northern Russia (Russia) and activated 20 MPPs. Shortly after that Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg (Germany), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany) and Svalbard & Jan Mayen (Norway) was attacked by Sweden. All of these attacks results in damage draining from the enemy, making it harder for them to coordinate their damage at one battle.

After the start of the above battles it was Norway’s turn to reacquire Svalbard & Jan Mayen and Nord-Norge from Sweden with help from region swapping. During this timeframe of ten minutes Sweden managed with a lot of help from Norway to start an attack on Russia, activating 20 MPPs and drain roughly 800 000 damage over the last 14-15 hours (It will most likely increase before the battle is over).

To continue the war campaign, Norway attacked Nordjylland (Sweden). Sweden’s president quickly retreated from the battlefield, giving Norway a new region (Which we can call a simple region swap to ease the pressure on Sweden).
At the same time the Serbian PTOed country Denmark initiated an attack on Midtjylland (Sweden).

The German regions Schleswig-Holstein & Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania were acting as a damage drain as long as they were active battles, which pretty much forced the German president to retreat these regions since Sweden activated 9 MPPs in these two battles (Countries such as Hungary, Serbia, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil etc).

In the end Sweden managed to acquire two regions from Germany and did some clever region swapping to be able to attack Russia. This war is far from over and it will be interesting to see how the Scandinavian countries will cooperate in future wars that will arise. Sweden and Norway has already showed the way and I’m sure it will be even more interesting (and confusing) when Finland joins the scene (If they do might be a more correct statement). EDEN is most likely having a small go in this operation in Scandinavia, which makes it even more interesting.
