Almost four hundred french purveyors of fine peanuts, walnuts and cashews have been bought out by the giant producer of nutmeg products, Bocuse and Co.

A representative of Bocuse and Co, a Mr. Steven Colbert, gave a statement about the blitzkrieg buyout earlier this morning:

"Bocuse and Co. Has always been about providing fine nuts to the people and we want to continue that tradition. When people think of our company we want them to think about giant stacks of nuts, nuts of all shapes and sizes, colors and tastes."

Most of the small business owners were happy with the takeover, willing to put all of their nuts in one basket, but a few were unsatisfied with the thought of Bocuse and Co as their bosses. Fabien Viro of Paris told us why:

"I sell peanuts and only peanuts. I'm not going to have MY peanuts mixing with walnuts or cashews. You lose the flavor if you mix them with other nuts."

Despite the protests of owners like Viro, Bucose and Co stands to make a record profit by combining all the nuts of France under one brand name.
