PARTY LEADERS, LISTEN UP

Your act. Get it together.

You have literally hundreds of members, but only a handful of active people. You and I both know what it would take to get more people active, and you and I both know you don't want to do it. It's a lot of work, but it is work that NEEDS to be done.

Every month you fight a losing battle with your own disorganization. Stop it. Do what you need to do to plan ahead. Make election nights mostly predictable in the US. I'm not saying don't campaign. We NEED candidates to campaign. There will always be 2-clickers who don't organize with anyone. But what we really need are more people who DO organize with someone. That's where you SHOULD BE coming in.

I will pat you on the back for doing the right thing last night and making people aware of what was happening in Belgium. Good on ya. I especially want to point out the efforts of the Federalist Party, the USWP and the AAP. You did not hesitate to direct some available voters to Belgium when you were asked. I am thankful that you guys are on top of things and work hard for your parties. You make me hopeful this rant won't fall on deaf ears.

Why did every party require so many votes to win domestically? Where were the blockers? Why were Phoenix candidates on the ballot? Where was the organization?

A couple of contested races for our own amusement is fine. Watching people battle it out is good for activity. But doing something awesome as a country is GREAT for activity.

In an ideal New World, every American citizen would be tied to an organization of some kind- a party, a militia or a military branch. Everyone would have a group they belong to that works as an integral part of the bigger national picture. Do you realize that is your responsibility? Do you realize that is what this country needs from you? It's what your members need from you. We need you to be needed.

Last night serves as the perfect example of exactly why. Just the small contribution from parties made a big difference in Belgium. Imagine how much more we could have done if domestic candidates weren't scrounging for votes (even offering money) late into the night?

Some of you are getting pretty good at organization and have taken the initiative to boost your own activity. This was accomplished by putting the work in and building the structure, like training divisions, militias, and a number of sub-groups active in different aspects of the game. Keep it up! But don't forget to talk to the other parties at election time. Everyone knows who your best people are and who deserves to be in Congress. Working together, you can get your best and brightest elected and there can even be opportunities for your newer candidates to get their shot. You can do your advertising and campaigning... you can even be partisan about it! But please, for the love of gob, figure out who is running where ahead of time and avoid unnecessary vote sinkholes and late night surprises.

Your parties elected you to make things better. You very much have the power to do it.

That is all.
