The last time eCanada did what CP Rylde said, it got wiped.

I've seen enough "bold, say it like I think it is" style of play, it leads nowhere. eCan needs solid foreign affairs to get into an alliance before it's too late so I'll be supporting Smoke.

I actually have a very strong mofa team led by klop including CPF up and comers trying to teach them the ropes so we have a wider base of able players able to fill the position.

While FA is good to have, I speak from experience when I say the TWO'esk countries pay attention to saber rattling. When Switzerland was RW'ing the heck out of Slovenia they got distracted and we attacked Vorarlburg, Austria. This was the only region they held that bordered us and It was cut off from Slovenia. They would have to conquer 3 regions to get back to us. Instead of a head on attack we "helped" Austria by starting a RW for them. 😃

I, among others, led an all out assault and we damn near won. Before the campaign was over most all of CoT and TWO was involved and it turned into an epic battle.This brought Slovenia to the bargaining table. Unfortunately there were those on both sides that hindered any NAP that Howley and I came up with. Now Switzerland remains completely wiped and they are shocked. 😮

Could be because 1/3 of their active population moved to Canada and they lost all but a handful of tanks. 😃

While The Smoke is definitely a good CP candidate, during peace time filled with RP goodness the Moose so love; Rylde is definitely the man for the job during war time.

What war Leo? Last term was the time to take a flyer on a war-time CP, the opportunity was provided, gift-wrapped if you will, to the candidate of MDP's choosing. MDP's IBB led the way to wipeville in less than a single term.

It took eCan several months to figure it out last time that you don't need a War CP when you are wiped, you need a diplomat, like klop123.

Rylde missed his shot last month, he shouldn't have taken the offer from IBB to step aside.

Fair enough. The AS on Estonia was so much better, you're absolutely right. Diplomacy will get you nowhere this time either; only ransom money will suffice.

I was against AS on Estonia as well, we couldn't hold.

If our diplomacy fails us now, it means we aren't in an alliance at all, and it will be game over. Our nation's history at foreign affairs is so weak, we don't have much credibility, we are basically reduced to the credibility that we can buy. Quite sad really.

I voted to fund it due to the circumstances. The decision to go to war was already made so the environment to make the decision was different that it is now. With the war open, our best odds at success involved throwing money at the war. What else are we going to use this play money for anyways?

At least the AS did not result in us being at the business end of a gang bang and it had the support of allies in the area. The rational for this war was not logical and makes us look like idiots. Also for the last 60 days I have telling anyone who would listen that if fought the UK we should deliberately loose the first couple campaigns and we would have the UK instead of Spain in our territory. If we had gotten the USA rental deal that was discussed at the end of my term, then Poland's door would of been closed as well. Long term strategy over instant war mongrel satisfaction would of been useful.

Were already wiped and its not my doing. Go launch another attack during the biggest holiday of the year where people spend time with there family where it really matters.

Actually it was the morning of the day before. They use the same calender we do so it hurt everyone equally. We lasted until the day after boxing day as I recall. Don't forget it actually landed which was an accomplishment. If it died on launch it would of been worse.

a statement of what you are going to do.... that is the definition of a promise. As I told my three year old boy many decades ago: you don't have to say "I promise" for it to be a promise, just "I will".
It seemed odd to say that only fools make promises and then make a promise.
I guess, though, election promises do fall into a special category... a kind of conditional commitment... an ephemeral promise... a contingent engagement. Not a big deal, just found it odd....maybe a reflection of the changing meaning of language.

I don't see statements as promises if you do all in your power to make them so. promises can be easily broken an d usually are. We obviously view things diffrently and regardless of what you told a 3 year old doesn't make u right.
