Running for Country Presidency

Day 3,567, 01:33 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by wingfield

Fellow citizens

I have received the endorsement of my party for a run for the eUK Presidency this month and seek your support.

The Workers’ Rights Party is a political party which strives to see the eUK is full of dedicated, active and well-informed citizens supported by their government. We are dedicated to ensuring equality and enhancing society for all eUK citizens. We trust the people tempered by prudence, this separates us from a lot of the other parties of the eUK who distrust the people tempered by fear. At the heart of our party are fairness, free-thinking, and creativity.

As a committed WRP member, I stand up for respect and decency in public life. We offer a change from the abuse and insults too liberally sprayed around by prominent but irresponsible individuals.

I am a very long serving player and fighter, with 28 terms in Congress around the eWorld, with the last three and a half years spent exclusively in the eUK, along with time in 2009. In RL I am British but now live in Australia. That should make for some interesting button pressing timing! I also have MU ownership and command experience and am currently Captain in the British Irregulars. I have had several terms serving as Party President in various countries, along with Cabinet experience.

The first thing that I will do as CP is to move to end the current TW with Sweden, if this has not already been wound up by the 5th. For too long our economy and internal harmony has been disrupted by another country rampaging around within our borders. It is time that the boot was on the other foot.

If a different TW or AS can be arranged, this will be done at an early stage. I appreciate that people want a degree of excitement or simply something to do. While I recommend some good old economy building and securing of reserves, some measured inter-country activity helps blow off steam.

Now is not the time to review our alliances and alignment, at least until we see which way the wind is blowing. Our current CP has kept us across some currents and I think that we need to assess these fully before shaking things up.

I propose to keep CptChazbeard and Huey George in government, as well as the retiring CP, but will be otherwise flexible in considering Cabinet appointments. If there is any danger of me being elected, it is up to those who wish to serve to make the necessary approaches.
