Running for Congress

So, this is a break from my eBolivian update, but I would like to run for Congress.

I see the same names in Congress and party leadership over and over again. While I understand that we have (if we have any) fewer seats to divy up, and it may seem like the old guard is the best bet, I disagree.

I think that between the PTO and the wipe, the chances to engage new, newish, or only semi-active (no, I'm not going to be on IRC for a free, web based game, for five hours every single day, sorry) players to get involved have dwindled. We want to get and recruit new, loyal, eAmericans, but we basically tell them, "Vote for who we tell you to vote for," "You can't be in Congress because we need experienced people during these hard times, and we only have a couple of seats." If we want to retain new players, we need to encourage new and non-obsessed players to become more involved, including in Congress.

So why me?
1) While not TERRIBLY new, I'm hardly a household name in the eUSA.
2) I would make a proposal that the major parties institute term limits on their candidates. The details would be discussed and worked out. Obviously, in an attempt to retain young talent, we don't want to lose old talent, so we need to find a balance (maybe two consecutive terms, or three terms in a year, etc.). Anyway, vote for me in WTP primary!
