Who are the rulers of the eWorld?
58 people across the world have been giving the highest responsibility the game has to offer. Some of them will triumph during their term, others will fail. So who are the January 2010 presidents and what are their ambitions? This series will introduce them to you.

Get ready to meet the third part of the European presidents: Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom. The president of Romania was too busy making plans to take over the world to reply to my messages.


Russia

Why did you run for president? Because I was the best man for the job, of course!
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Optimize and expand the Russian army, bring more immigrants to Russia, work out the internal frictions, destroy Poland.

Why did you run for president? I want to create just one team for the future, called eSerbia.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Many things, especially to form team eSerbia, which will work under one similar goal – to have fun, and to show that eSerbia is a trusted ally and member of PHOENIX, but also a skilled enemy towards EDEN.

Slovakia

Why did you run for president? To keep continuity of the government programme (I was prime minister last term) and the politics of our country in RL Slovak hands. Also, there was nobody else from our party willing to run because of RL issues. And I don’t want Slovakia to be ruled by some PTO multi from our southern neighbors.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? I want to have a real BB in Slovakia so our defense can depend less on foreign help. In the meantime, I’m also working on a Slavic Union coalition and if both of my goals become reality, my mission is accomplished.

Why did you run for president? It was a new challenge for me.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Liberate all six Slovenian regions with help of our allies. Rebuild our economy, get our currency back to its old strength and focus on having constant training wars.

Why did you run for president? For the commitment to my party, I was the first president from my party in its history in eRepublik.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Completely destroy eFrance and teach Spanish culture.

Why did you run for president? There are some amazing people playing this game. I love to stay awake night after night in discussions about the economy or military, and at the same time joking around. Projects that challenge us to the point of a nervous breakdown, and wonderful people is what makes this game so enjoyable. I hope to get more of this, and I believe that I have the capacity to make more people experience these fantastic feelings.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? I hope to motivate my people and make them do incredible things for their country. I want to make them do things that will make them feel proud of themselves and our country. Step one is to expand our country geographically. I promised to annex Schleswig-Holstein, but maybe it won't be enough... Swedes are a hungry people.

Why did you run for president? I’ve already been president twice and initially had no intention to run again, but we were being PTO'ed by a group of Russians called the Shaolins. As I still had considerable influence and support, I decided to unite our various political parties against the Shaolin threat, in the hope of saving us from a complete PTO.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Hopefully get rid of this TO group, as well as make serious reforms to our way of functioning in order to avoid this situation in the future. On top of that, I’m hoping to make eSwitzerland participate more in ongoing world affairs, repair economic damage caused by the Shaolins, be there for our allies when they need us and most importantly of all, show the eSwiss population that if we stick together we can achieve a lot more than if we let petty arguments get in the way.

Why did you run for president? This is my second term. For my first term, I thought that we had some interior political problems and thought I could solve this problem.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? To solve economic and political problems and to be one of the leading countries in our region and in the world.

Why did you run for president? I want to gain more experience in managing big communities, it’s also interesting to observe the tricks of mass-communication between different cultures.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? To develop state economy, and increase role of the Ukraine in world policy. I'd also be glad to make our state power and its infrastructure more clear and accessible to usual citizens to make the game more interesting for them.

Why did you run for president? I ran for President because I felt like I had the ideas that could help. I've been a cabinet advisor back in the UK after a break, and I think I can productively help things improve.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Well, there are always the normal "safety" issues, I intend to be strong with my allies, support them where needed, and improve domestically. This month ought to be interesting considering the amount of threats we have gotten, but that's fairly normal, and usually don't amount to much.
