Day 781, 13:34 Published in Brazil South Africa by Ines Schumacher
CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA
Argentina | Bolivia | Brazil | Chile | Colombia | Paraguay | Peru

Who are the rulers of the eWorld?
58 people across the world have been giving the highest responsibility the game has to offer. Some of them will triumph during their term, others will fail. So who are the January 2010 presidents and what are their ambitions? This series will introduce them to you.

Get ready to meet the Central and South American presidents of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru. The presidents of Argentina and Paraguay were a bit shy and didn't want to show the eWorld their RL picture and the presidents of Uruguay and Venezuela chose not to participate at all.

Argentina

Dante-arg
RL age: 27
RL location: Argentina
Why did you run for president? I really think this is the moment when the country needs me. World war, global alliances disappearing and winning their space through hard battles. I consider myself an experienced player and I’m confident I can do a lot better for eArgentina than the other players that ran for the presidency.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? Better conditions for new players, a renewal of the educational structure to make them feel comfortable and learn all they wish. I think they’re important since they will be our future. Secondly, I hope to really put aside our differences with our neighbours and work together with them. And fulfill my national goals :3 … No, seriously, not really. Those were just a way to relieve myself from all the frustration and anger I had when I was MoFA during November – I met 2 people that made my life miserable during my term. So I planned to dedicate the national goals to them...

Bolivia

Ernesto_Guevara
RL age: 29
RL location: Brazil
Why did you run for president? I was proposed by my party in our first national election without the risk of a PTO (the previous election we had unified candidacies). Well, we had a non-desired visitor (puteracca), but that wasn’t a great menace at all, because we have control over congress. Our eBolivian community agreed in sending two candidates, representatives from each of the biggest ideologies and I represented the left side.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? We will focus on social programs, creating a better distribution of wealth. Empowering the government companies to mark a line (based on a socialist model) to be followed by private companies: the workers must receive what they deserve for their workforce. We will include the new citizens, encouraging them to be active and prepared (we will start an eUniversity) and be part of our community.

Brazil

Jazar
RL age: 21
RL location: Niterói, Rio de Janeiro
Why did you run for president? Because January is the month I have the most time to dedicate myself to the job, and I think that I can do an amazing job with dedication 🙂
What do you hope to achieve in your term? A new baby boom and recover some gold we burned 😛

*****

Chile

Fauno
RL age: 23
RL location: Chile, RM
Why did you run for president? Because Chile needs a president to unify the entire community. And I was the only candidate.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? A strong community, high quality international relationships, and what’s most expected in the Chilean community: battles for the Chilean territory. Another key idea is to implement a Chilean court system.

Colombia

Estebancolombia
RL age: 13
RL location: Colombia
Why did you run for president? I think that it was time to work for my country in another way.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? I wish to achieve a quality of life for Colombians better than we have now, which is comprised of a good economy, regular battles, good salaries and cheap products without breaking employers, and peace with the USA.

Paraguay

Xelgand
RL age: 23
RL location: RL Paraguayan living in Spain
Why did you run for president? I was introduced to eRepublik about a month before eParaguay was created in the game. Since then, I worked among a lot of good friends building this country from scratch. We've managed to secure it from PTO attempts at the beginning by working together, and until now there are no major divisions inside the country. By now I feel confident enough to assume the presidency, and I must thank the group of ministers and all the citizens that provided support for my candidature.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? There’s lots of work on the list, right now we have signed an MPP with eFrance which will let us help our ally, measure our military strength and boost our small economy at the same time. We still need to fix a couple of things in our economy like the monetary speculations and the lack of RM imports. I would like to strengthen our support to the ALA and work together to become a mature alliance.

Peru

Ariakis
RL age: 26
RL location: Poland
Why did you run for president? We've felt that the recent coalition is a bit too fresh to support a Peruvian candidate - especially that our relations with most of them are not to good, and because in the past we've learnt that trust is a thing that simply has to be built for some time. And, well, I was chosen as a member of the last cabinet.
What do you hope to achieve in your term? There are high expectations from our allies here in ePeru. Personally, I would like to improve relations between people in ePeru which come from different countries in real, but I suppose it will be a hard work – almost impossible to achieve. But there are still a few things that can be done: improving the economy, getting some investors and exporters and showing that we really came here to build a strong country, not to rob anyone. Still, it will be hard, especially because many of the native Peruvians would rather destroy their own country than to work together for the people. But on the other hand, there is a light of hope: I suppose that the first step is to start talking with each other rather than fighting, and then we might be able to rebuild this country.
