Romanian army stands down in face of largest PEACE offensive in history

Day 542, 10:18 Published in Greece Greece by Gyros News Corp

BUCHAREST, Romania -- "STARTING TODAY THE ROMANIAN ARMY ENTERS IN A NON-COMBAT STAGE AND WE WILL NOT FIGHT IN ANY REGION." These are the orders handed to the Romanian armed forces by its commander, Minister of Defense Han Solo. Just a day after a crushing defeat on all fronts by superiorly organized soldiers of the PEACE Global Community. From a devastating loss in the Western Siberian Region, which was overrun by PEACE soldiers even after 220,000 points of PEACE-inflicted damage was removed from the fight, to the American assault on Russia's eastern seaboard, the battles of Day 541 were a depressing loss for ATLANTIS soldiers.

The losses come on the heels of a number of devastating losses for ATLANTIS, which just weeks ago was closing on Indonesian homelands in southeast Asia. The tables were turned when PEACE soldiers turned the tide and pushed Romanian soldiers back and Romania has been retreating since. A number of ATLANTIS sources accused the Global Community of cheating—charges which have been vehemently denied by officials in PEACE. When the admins investigated and took little action against PEACE, a widespread movement in Romania to quit the game appeared with the intent of swaying admin judgment. Then, in an article in the eRepublik Insider, the administration declared that such tactics would not work and they would not revisit the accusations.

It remains to be seen what these losses and the Romanian declaration mean to smaller ATLANTIS nations such as Greece.
