Rolo Sentence in.

sorry for three articles in a day. Won't happen again. The Court has delivered sentence in the Rolo matter which must be published here as the offender has no forum access. He does have councel but we are hesitant to rely on communications between councel and his client.

I am also advising the offender by in game PM.

The decision of the Court is as follows:

a majority of the court have now reached agreement, one abstaining from the trial altogether.

Following on the sentence imposed March 19th, the Court was required to offer alternatives to the offender. It has now completed the task of deciding what those alternatives are. The full sentence is therefore as follows:

The offender is:

Permanently banned from the eCanada Forums and eCanada IRC channel(s), subject to:

(A) the offender's right to apply for a modified sentence in accordance with paragraph B.Failure to comply with a modified sentence will result in a permanent ban being reinstated.

(😎The offender may, within the next ten days, elect to comply honestly and in good faith with any of the 3 alternatives set out below. Choosing none of the alternatives shall result in the original sentence remaining as is. Compliance shall be determined by the court. Upon complying with the all conditions of any alternative, the offender’s forum/irc ban shall be reduced as follows:

Alternative 1: Forum and IRC bans shall be lifted on honest good faith compliance satisfactory to the court. Accelerated payment will be permitted. For greater clarity, Forum and IRC bans will be lifted when the full 960 gold amount is paid.

The offender shall pay the total sum of 960 gold to the government of eCanada in the following manner:
-instalments of 75 gold on or before the 1st day of each month, beginning April 2011, as the Court or the President shall direct.

Alternative 2: Forum and IRC bans shall be lifted April 1st, 2012 (a further twelve-month ban) on honest good faith compliance satisfactory to the court.

The offender shall forthwith pay to the government of eCanada the sum of 750 gold, as the Court or the President shall direct.

Alternative 3: Within the next 10 days, the offender shall present to the Court a concrete proposal satisfactory to the Court, and upon approval by the Court shall comply with the proposal. Upon the Court being satisfied that the proposal has been complied with, honestly and in good faith, the offender’s IRC and forum bans shall be determined by the proposal.

You guys are insane. 960 gold??? Installments???

The amount he took was vastly larger than this. Rolo has 30 companies, most of which were either directly stolen or purchased with stolen funds. He rakes in massive profits from these companies on a daily basis (and used to rake it in with the Monetary market before these new rules).

You could make the fine 1500 gold and 100,000 cad, and not only could he easily afford it, but those companies would have him back to flush in no time.

Truly mind-boggling. You people are less consistent than NHL referees.

Hahaha, 960 gold isn't even a slap on the wrist.

He got more than that from Wes Lewis when Wes "quit" last month. Hell that's less than Wes gave to Octavian so Octavian could try and buy the MDP nomination.

960 gold. Rolo should pay it just to show how USELESS the Court is when the Forum and IRC admins keep his bans in place and completely ignore the courts ruling.

tem....perhaps Rolo did take more...unfortunately, the prosecutor and the witnesses did not have evidence to show us exactly how much was taken. The court judges evidence...not estimates or guesses

I guess this sentencing is only related to the first thief. About the other robbery which happens back to January, does Rolo will still remain banned?

max: Rolo's sentence for this "first" theft is a permanent ban. He can choose to have that sentence reduced by making a decision in the next ten days, and following through. He doesn't follow through, the permanent ban sticks.

As to the other thefts alleged against rolo, no one has come forward to charge him with that or anything else. If someone presents a charge(s) the Court will deal with it appropriately.

also, no one has come forward on rolo's behalf to challenge the Admin's imposition of a permaban. If someone presents such a challenge the Court will deal with it appropriately.
