Sometimes we must break out of our eRep bubble and write about stuff that happens in RL. Today I saw the following article my country wont host any major ICC event up and until 2023. A 1O year drought. That is all fine with me. However I have a major problem with the logic behind all this.

For the reason that is put forward reads as follow: Because the companies that sponsor the ICC according to them make more money if the events is hosted in one of 3 countries England, Australia and India. So in fact this means the reason that the events isn't hosted in other countries has sweet blue nothing to do with either the ICC or cricket. No all it is about is keeping sponsors and their bottom line happy. This is the first time I know off that a sport is happily dictated by their sponsors. In fact this is a complete sellout. A sporting body is meant to act in the interest of the sport alone. It must be the final authority on were events are hold it cannot be dictated or ask for authorization in its decision from bloody sponsors. But we also know that other sport bodies has similar wrongdoings (FIFA, FOrmula 1). In fact the ICC looks like cookie thieves compared to the mentioned 2 hoodlums above. Yes you say perhaps they should keep their sponsors happy. I dont agree because their sponsors is most likely big Indian English and Australian companies. So in fact the events have been sold off to the highest bidder.

In fact ICC your complete sell outs and I hope no one supports you anymore and that your sponsors get a deserved boycott till they are in ruins. The ICC is a disgrace to cricket and need to be removed. To the sponsors thank you for sponsoring the sports but the only reason you should be doing this is because of the exposure it gives your product. How much you make in a tournaments is irrelevant
