Reviewing the ERX, POTUS Candidates Overview

2 April, 2010, Day 864 of the New World - Today we have a few topics to cover. Everyone seems to be reporting on EDEN, how Polish citizens are trolling us now, and why Americans suck because IRL we suck. Hmm, I like that logic. Either way, let's avoid that conversation and concentrate on two issues that are not really being investigate😛 Presidential elections and the eRepublik Stock eXchange.

Seems like everyone is trying out the latest buzz: the eRepublik Stock eXchange (ER😵. Personally, I found it slightly annoying that the letter "X" in the middle of "exchange" was capitalized, even in formal writing, but that was one of just very few complaints. Surprisingly, the user interface and support team for ERX was paramount and above my critical expectations.

Many may recall how I once operated a bank, one of the first two in the world, and our only rival was T'jelle Bank (TJ😎, now the financial monopolist of today. So naturally, one could say I was pretty critical of anything with Mr. Astrup's name on it - despite he and I working together on multiple national and private projects. What I found at first was a hard to get used to interface, too much gray, and almost no help at all without asking people in the IRC.

Boy was I wrong, ends up I was just being picky. The interface actually is very easy to use, it is very straight forward, and on top of all of that I found its listings page to be simple and easy to navigate. Not only this, but it has built-in automatically updating graphs based on real-time stock trading figures as well as the feeling of your member growing two inches when you make your first purchase. I've heard this also happens to females.

I thought about listing some stocks of my own.

I did have a single interface complaint, which I quickly lodged to the guru that runs the site's maintenance, Big Brother. He quickly addressed the issue and said, "Give me ten minutes, mark your watch." In less than nine he was back and told us to try it out. I refreshed and wouldn't you know it? We could now combine like offers just by the click of a button.

Due to Report restrictions, I can't write a whole bunch, but there has been some criticism too. One, which I have even now, is lack of reading material on the interface, mechanics, and terms. Being involved in the financial world in real-life, I have no issue figuring out what a dividend, net worth, volume, and market cap stands for. But a whole lot don't know, and could spend hours trying to grasp the concept. Hopefully they will add more literature on their product in the time to come.

So now, I am sitting here toying around with the system and enjoying myself; starting with my meager personal savings of 25.00 GOLD. I would definitely recommend this as a sort of "meta game" to eRepublik, even if you just got 5 GOLD as an achievement reward!

The following is a brief review from Apnea, a Report affiliate and officer in the United States Armed Forces.

CivilAnarchy: Our first presidential contender is CivilAnarchy, 2 time super-soldier and 3 time congressman from New Jersey. He's also been on the Congressional Oversight Committee, and commander of the bear cavalry. Will this be enough to snatch victory from our other contenders?

Woxan: A well known name and everyone's favorite smoking spy, Woxan is the second candidate for president of the US. He's been involved with many administrations of the past, and has experience. He also has 9 hard worker medals, 5 Congressional terms, 2 Media Moguls, 1 battle hero, 1 resistance hero, and 3 Super Soldier medals.

Bradley Reala: The best candidate by far, Bradley is one of the unsung heroes of our government. While holding a commission as an officer in the eUS National Guard, Bradley also served on both the Citizen Task Force and within the Department of State. He is also the author of The Liberty Tribune, which publishes regular articles thanking our allies for being awesome. Brad has the experience and the motivation to take us back on the old path in America. The path of Gaius, and Jewitt, and even Emerick when he holds back on his trolling. He has been tied closely with the government and with the military for most of his eLife. This means Bradley knows how to play the game, and how to play it for keeps. A vote for Bradley is a vote for win.
