Returning To Better Thinking

Day 1,969, 05:22 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

Well hello there. Sorry I've been out of the media for so long, but a great deal of you still know I'm active in the meta-game. I decided it was time for me to step back into writing articles again, though I admit I might be a little rusty. For the last two months I've mainly been typing and thinking in Chinese, so I apologize for any mistakes. This article will be a reintroduction of sorts for me, so I'm just going to ramble on about some various topics. These will include: the competitive Fed PP race, the Sixth Party Coalition (a bit late on this one), and a small bit on my activity lately.

First up is the Federalist race for leadership. Now normally I stay to the sidelines of these things since I don't want to get too involved in party affairs. Aside from my forum vote, I rarely make a peep about these things. Considering the competitive nature of this race, I'll give some input. This month we have a three-way race between former PP Duncan Crowe, former PP Malarkey83, and current VPP EnterAwesome.

Duncan Crowe is making a run for this third term as PP, and under his leadership we were doing quite well. I like his focus on the new player and creating fun for the party, and I know we'd be in good hands there. After that we have Malarkey83, a former PP from a bit back and a vital veteran in the party. While I wasn't around from it, I heard he was a great leader under pressure and I know he'd be there for us in a tough spot. Lastly, we have EnterAwesome, our current VPP making her third run for Fed Party President. While I want to maintain my neutrality, I have to admit that I voted for EnterAwesome in the primary. I've been wanting to see her in this role for some time now, and I want to see what she can do for the party. She's a newer player with a lot of energy and enthusiasm, as well as a mind for improvement and open to new ideas. She's been my deputy, my successor, and now I want her to be my Party President. That being said, we're in good hands this month no matter who wins the primary.

Given the rise of the Federalist Party, this race has gained more importance. We now have the most congressional seats, and our party is full of rising stars and potential presidents. We have a responsibility to lead by example and show the country what we can produce and what we can create. I've made a lot of friends in this party, and I want it to prosper for their sake and for the new players joining our party everyday.

Next up I wanted to give my opinion on the Sixth Party Coalition. I have mixed feelings about this, but nothing too extreme. I think it's great they are organizing to increase their voice, and I think this opens the door to greater cooperation among themselves and with the Top 4 parties. They unify themselves in dealing with congressional matters, so there will be less confusion in placing sixth party candidates on ballots. They also increase coordination for presidential endorsements, and increase the impact of that endorsement. While I honestly think organizing into one party would have a stronger impact, coordination is also important and I think they have taken a great step forward.

However, I do worry about infighting a bit. While I know everything is fine now, a hot temper or an unsolvable argument could tear things apart and they'd be back to step one. Friction could arise over promoting congress candidates, favoritism, etc. They could come to represent the very thing they criticize Top 4 parties of being. Again, this is speculation, and I still believe that the Sixth Party Coalition has a lot of opportunity for greatness.

Finally some personal updates. Still working as Dep Sec of State, though nothing as great as organizing peace treaties. I've been introduced to my first congressional term, and I'm liking the job so far. We've discussed quite a few topics and votes, and I'd say I'm doing the best I can so far. I've also decided to end my party isolation and apply for a few jobs in the Feds, so lets see if I can get a little more partisan in the meantime. I'd like to help out my party the way they have helped me, since I owe my success to their efforts and support.

I'm still in China till July, so I'm trying to help out where I can and where a timezone difference isn't too bothersome. Everything is still going well for me in real life, though Chinese could be a little easier. I've also started teaching English and learning Korean at the same time, so we'll find out how well both of those go. I'm glad to still have eRep access and a link to my old life to make some things feel a little familiar.

Hope this article was long enough for everyone. Expect to see some more from me again. My media days are coming back.
