Retirement?

Day 1,159, 00:32 Published in USA USA by Jamarcus

Hello America,

I have enjoyed the last month I've spent in the Senate. After much consideration, I've decided to seek another term in the Senate. I will once again be running in the state of New Hampshire, under the Libertarian Party. Hopefully I can survive a possible USWP snipe and continue to serve the USA.

If my last month of service is not enough incentive to re-elect me, then let me sweeten the deal by increasing the importance of your vote. Anyone who knows me or has read my paper for some time, knows I have a vision of what America should and could be. In May of 2009, before most of you were born, I ran against scrabman for PotUS. I was young, dedicated, and ballsy to take on the Machine that was the oldschool USWP. I was utterly obliterated and crushed. That was the most involved in politics I've ever been, and I've never been the same since. I grew accustomed to sitting on the sidelines and observing the often pointless debates and discussions that go on on a daily basis. I grew accustomed to not interacting with the community as much as others, because most of the great players I've called my friends and have looked up to for so long, have either completly left the game or only two-click through each day.

No more. If I am re-elected to the Senate, I will consider it a mandate to turn back the hands of time and reverse the process of retiring from the game altogether. I began this eLife in 2008, and yet, there is so much left to do. Over the last month, I've gone from about 500 friends to over a 1000. Over the past month, I've spent more time on IRC than in all the months I've played the game, combined. All that I ask, and indeed all that I need, is the opportunity to reach for more.
