Resigning My Post

Day 1,472, 17:11 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Hello everybody. How is everyone? Good I hope.

Well by the title of this article I assume you all have figured out that I am not going to be Minister of Community next month. I have been Minister for 5 months and I think it is time for a change. Nothing major I assure you. I am not quitting or leaving Ireland or anything. Just something different. What that is I don't know. I will just have to figure it out.

I am announcing this before elections to give the candidates a little time to find someone to fill this position. I don't want to spring it on the winner after he has won and then leave them with something else they have to do among all the work the CP has to do.

Now usually in an article like this people usually list all the people that helped them along the way. Well there is NO way I can list all the people who helped me in this job. Every member of the Irish Community helped me and every citizen is a member of the Community. From comments and suggestions to donations and support every little bit helped make this job fun and interesting. Even though my account is full of gold and IEP ( all Community funds so only for Community business ) I didn't earn one cent from my time as Minster. What I did earn is a respect for all the hard work others put in to running Ireland and an appreciation for friends who are there to help if you ask. ( and some when you don't ask.)

Invariably a list of people always misses someone and feelings get hurt so I won't do that either.

I will follow up on the Community Awards until they are complete and I of course will be around for the next Minister to ask questions if needed. The Community Radio Channel is in my name so I will also of course help out in any way that is needed for the next Minister to use that resource in any way the Minister wants.

I didn't get all the stuff done that I wanted or to get things flowing as smoothly as I would have liked but I think I did an OK job. I just hope I made the game a little more enjoyable to those who played while here in eIreland. If I did that then I am satisfied.

It was fun serving Ireland and her Community.

Minister of Community
