Reflection on a crazy week
roland_up
Last week has been quiet a crazy week in eSK, we got back on the map by forcing the Chinese to change their strategy, and now we are back to where we were a week ago. I knew some people are disappointed, but I want explain to you the reasons for their dominance, and the areas which we need to improve for us to be competitive.
I have summarised their advantage into the following four main reasons.
1. Population
2. Activeness
3. Organisation
4. Allies
The first reason is population, it is obvious to us that every strong country has a large population. In a game such as eRepublik, population is a key contributor to the strength of a nation. This is because a higher population means you have more fighers which can deal more damage on the battlefield, it also means you have a greater economic output by having more workers producing things and gernerating tax income for the government.
The second reason on my list is activeness, and by activeness, I don't mean how many times you log in daily or how much RL money you spend on the game, although that could be an indicator of your overall activeness. By activeness, it is a measurement of your participation in the community.
Of course, not everyone can be the president, or MU commanders or captains or a good newspaper writer, or a mega tanker etc... But one thing I think most of us can do is to help others who are in need of help. You can help people materially with food/weapon aid, or lower the prices of food/weapon in the market, or you can just give your time, advice, opinions, suggestions to other players, or even to the country leaders.
Organisation is all about optimising the usage of our limited resources through communication. A lot of people neglected the need of communication, or didn't take it seriously enough. But I think communication is the most important area of organising any projects. It allows the team to have the same understanding of the content of projects, and its feasibility, and risks. Without proper communication, it is very likely that any flaws in your plan will not identified, and people cannot work according to the same plan because they have different understanding of it.
Ally is the four reason on my list. Obviously having good allies who will fight for us whenever we are in trouble is ideal. Unfortunately for now, the ONE alliance is collapsing and even the stronger country are facing serious problem with invasions. At a time like this, we probably have to reduce on our expectation our allies will help us significantly when they are in trouble themselves in the short term. At the meantime, we should do more to help them in order to develop a deeper relationship with countries who can help us to get back on the map.
In addition, I think for some time now, we have been relying on our allies for too much. It is very straight forward to understand why this is the case. This is because we have always been the weaker side in this conflict, and we need a lot of help from the outside in order to reach the balance in the short term.
But in a long term though, we definitely need to reduce our reliance on our allies so that we have the capability to defend ourselves when we get back on the map.
eSK is a old country, but most of the citizens are still fairly new to the game compares to RoC or China, this is why there is such a big gap between us and them. This is why in the last few days of battle, we couldn't stay on the map at the end.
There are reasons to feel disappointed, but you have a choice to make here. We can forget our disappointment and instead make this your motivation to work hard toward making improvements these four areas, this gap will lessen everyday until we are strong enough. If we do the opposite, we can probably at best win the odd battles from time to time, but in the long term, nothing will change.
P.S. I think you should also notice that I didn't add Visa card as one of the areas 😃
. I think unless you can keep swipping your card like Romper and Argrob on a daily basis, swipping card will only delay things, it is meaningless in a long term.

"Once you choose the dark side, there's no going back. "
We didn't choose, the choice has already been made for us. I dont know how many times you can repeat this fallacy about we had a choice.
Choice 1: Conquered by RoC
Choice 2: Conquered by RoC
That is not a choice!
I refer you to this article from a month ago, interestingly you were there, lol.

You have choosen your ONE allies betraying the allies that really helped you before! As always, now you are innocent and complaining! Each must face the consequences of their actions.
You made a bad choice, deal with it!
roland up巴打,講左9萬幾次, 唔簽ONE MPP 就唔會打eSK

What allies will support PTOers who plotted to wipe eSK off the map against their friends so the PTOers can return back in power? Allowing the PTOers to overthrow their ally's rule? What allies would condone their affiliates to continue to threaten their friends with invasion?
Clopo, you are the most unqualified person to talk about friends, or allies.
"As always, now you are innocent and complaining! "
No, I was restating something that has been explain again and again. The choice has already been made for us, I wasn't making a new argument, so once again you are wrong.

We can bother them, and Plato is also bothering them for money. someday, they'll give up!
I think patience is the strongest weapon for eSK.
