Reflecting on the Past - Pt 1

Day 2,006, 14:06 Published in South Africa South Africa by OKayOK

I do not play this game like I used to, but some of my fondest memories of life will always be highlighted by what was happening in my eLife. I wish to reflect on the past, my past. there are many things that have happened that stood out for me. Some are horrible, some are great.

Wizzie_don PTO
I was thrown into a post of running a wing of the eSouth African Military when I was still a very young player. I believe that if I was not thrown into this role, I would have not continued in the game. This is why I have been such a fan and proponent of having a intern system in Government that allows new players to get involved.

No long after starting as Commander of the PV, we fell victim to a Brazilian/Indo PTO. Below are articles penned by me during that time (Day 553)

DAY 553 - The Nation Weeps
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-nation-weeps-811603/1/20
It is with a heavy heart that I bring you the saddest news. eSouth Africa has fallen prey to political terrorism. The DRB has obtained a 67% majority in congress and a proposed impeachment of Gabriel is happening right now.

So what now? Once the impeachment happens I suspect one of two things to happen. Either Indonesia will attack the Northern Cape and Brazil will retreat allowing Indonesia a border with us. They will then attack eSA and wizzie_don will retreat, or Brazil will declare war on eSA themselves. This process will take 24 hours for the impeachment and if Brazil decides to attach eSA themselves it will take another 24 hours for the Declaration of war to happen.

I am not sure if there is a way to counter what just happened but I am sure that if anyone can, South Africans will be the ones to do it.

DAY 553 - Important Message from the SAAF
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/important-message-from-the-saaf-812008/1/20
There is a lot being said today about the virtues of staying in South Africa to fight the invasion. I have even heard it being said that people that are leaving South Africa are cowards. I would like to clear a bit of this up in this article.

I am writing this to you now from exile in the USA. Does this make me any less of a South African? No, it most definitely does not. I took a few things into consideration before making the move.

The Indo/Brazilian attackers are attempting to destroy the South African economy with the proposed bill to raise minimum wage to 1000ZAR. This was the decider for me. They don’t only want to make South Africa their own; they also want to dis-empower the people and the companies that are within its boarder.

Also Indonesia’s attack on the North West triggered out MPP’s with our allies. That means that citizens can safely leave the country and still fight for it.

It is advised that all South Africans leave and move to the eUSA, Florida (Q5 Hospital) while there is still a chance. Get a job, heal, train and fight. We as South Africans will have our chance, but now is a time to start thinking with our heads. Staying in South Africa will only have a detrimental effect on you as a player.

You are also all advised to add this org “South African Armed Forces” as a friend and watch your shouts for orders. It is not over and I am certain that one day we will all dance together under the African Sky.

Please Vote This Up

Over and out – Mark Morcom

DAY 556 - Stay Strong
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/stay-strong-815025/1/20
We have been stripped bare, our enemy thinks we are broken, and listen to our cries in the night. Our children wonder the streets of Johannesburg sniffing glue and begging for whatever anyone will give. Our people are victimised; fired daily from their jobs.

The enemy listens to the cries of our people, mocking us, laughing because we are broken. However, if they listen closely, they will hear a new cry. They will wonder what it is, and will soon realise that it is no longer a cry, but a roar. No longer a weep, but a battle cry. Our people will form out of the ashes a force that will make the enemy tremble.

South Africans, fear not what has happened for we are strong. We are part of a nation that lives on even though our land is taken. We seek blood, we demand that it is spilled and our enemy is broken, their land desolated and their children suffer as ours do now.

We are proud. A people of courage and a people of strength. Our determination is un-relenting and our spirit sours above the ashes. We will live to see the day when our troops and tanks cross the border. Moving at lightning speed passed the Drakensburg and our lands are liberated from the enemy. Be strong for this time will come. Our family will hold its head up high, giving no more fear for the enemy to feed off.

We are South Africa and we will be revenged.

DAY 557 - New Orders - IMPORTANT (Backing a Romanian led PTO of Indo which failed)
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/new-orders-important-816380/1/20
All military personell to move to a Q5 hospital region in Indonesia - Java, Karnataka, West Siberian Region, Western Cape or Xinjiang - by Presidential voting day.

At election time vote for whoever the Matzanesian Ruling Party put up - probably Victor Petrescu.

Mixed feelings about fighting. Fight and gain experience? Or fight to lose wellness so that your productivity is low? That's up to you. I will say that if you fight, use it well. Make sure that you fight for the Resistance where possible. If you can't then fight where the wall is very high already.

If you need MTs then your Platoon commander.

DAY 559 - [South Africa] Foolish Brazil (Propaganda/Trolling)
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-south-africa-foolish-brazil-817400/1/20
I feel so bad for the Brazilians. Imagine being the puppet of a nation like eIndonesia. I also feel so bad for them because in eIndonesia’s attempt to finish South Africa off they sealed the fate of not only themselves, but also that of their poor simpler minded puppets in eBrazil.

The Indos voted away 20000 IDR of their government funds in an act of stupidity that more than likely will be remembered in the eHistory Books for years to come. Yet Brazil is worse because they are slaves to these fools. I have to ask you this: who is more the fool? The fool, or the fool that follows the fool?

I look forward to the day when Brazil approaches us asking us to be their masters. I will not stop playing this game until that day. This I know, when that day comes, South Africa being the honerable people they are will not want a slave. We will show mercy, and rub their faces in it.
Brazil, the clock is ticking - Good Bye.

DAY 559 - [South Africa] Our Stand (Propaganda)
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-south-africa-our-stand-817441/1/20
Just in case no-one knew, I will say it here. eSouth Africa is far from being dead. We live on in the hearts and souls of all that put their time, money and tears into the country. South Africa was more that simple binary stored on the eRep servers. We took on a monster, which might have devoured us but we live on to haunt it until its demise.

Little did the Indos know that they did us a favour when they orchestrated the PTO. They freed up an entire nation of people to now move to the heart of the beast and kill it politically.

Oh Indonesia, your lands will be made barren, your people begging for what little they can get out of eLife.

Oh Brazil, the corpse of you puppet master will hang around your neck until the stench fills you nostrils.

All South Africans, this is your time. A time when the eworld will look to us as the shining stars. The ones that said no, and the ones that never gave in to the beast.

TODAY WE ARE HERE, AND WE WILL MAKE OUR STAND.
