That’s 13 states without a recommendation and another 3 we recommend you decide for yourself. That’s 35% we have no preference for and truly hope you’ll make a wise decision before voting for them. As said before, we have decided to be quite selective and support only the best. If you or your party’s candidate is not on the above list, know it is because of this decision and it doesn’t reflect negatively on you or your party. Notice also, that we are not giving the party count or the sponsoring party in this edition. That has been covered elsewhere, and as this is going to be focused on individuals, others can play the political counting game.
A great number of states don’t have recommendations. This is due to one of two factors. Either it had no clear candidate we’d endorse or it had several and we couldn’t in good conscience recommend one over the other.
Weak states include:
Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana. Louisiana, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Vermont. This in no way demeans the candidates of the respective states, but we felt none in these states warranted the active support of the Alliance at this time. We wish them the best of luck and sincerely hopes who wins there does well in Congress.
Strong States include:
Nebraska, New Jersey, and Texas. Here we felt you can do just as well picking any of the prominent candidates and as such have no recommendation there. The choice in Nebraska is between b.k. blake and Blazix. In New Jersey, there’s Bill Brasky, Claire Littleton, and Joshua Patterson – each would be wonderful to have. In Texas the choice is between Incumbent Panther and emergent powerhouse Cloyd Wallis, so pick your preference.
Closing
This congress looks to be a very interesting one this term and we at The Alliance for Good Government wish all the candidates well in making the US a better place as we go forward. Thank you and VOTE SMART!
