Rebuild a Nation: The future of New Ireland.

Day 1,113, 23:04 Published in Ireland Ireland by don.squire

Our Nation was wiped and reborn on Day 1,113 of the New World. Now we have a chance to build her again from scratch, something only very old Beta players remember.

I have a few ideas on rebuilding for our president and congress to consider.

1. Organizing labor in companies now in British control.

While many of us have enjoyed killing productivity in selected British companies, we now need to work our own. We can freely sell into the Irish markets. The Celtic League (under my management) put THIS TOGETHER. It details a system to keep Irish people employed in Irish companies making and selling Irish goods with minimal benefit to the UK.

2. Gearing economy and production toward new resource allocation.

Right now we have Dublin. We might get others but for now Dublin it is. We will be able to get some Iron mines going and some Food companies and maybe other as the market demands but the focus should be onIron and Food.

3. Gathering IEP and Gold to stabilize the MM.

Citizens are encouraged to help keep the MM as stable as possible and buy from Irish citizens and ORG's only. Ultimately though the State is going to have to step in and moderate this somewhat. Not fix the price, just keep it stable @ 0.013 it is currently. This will be critical to establishing the new economy.

4. Auctioning off RW medals to help pay for costs of retaking regions.

This is popular and can make the state some money. The process is simple, the high bidder gets to start the resistance war and the government gets the proceeds. Considering that ultimately there will be 5 more RW's this can quite a bit.

5. Resetting Income, Import and VAT taxes.

Our representative should also consider carefully the tax rate that the nation currently has. Many of our Import rates should be dropped (temporarily) to build up product stock. Priorities in Income taxes should be placed on labor distribution in the Iron and Food industries. All other industries should have minimal taxes (also can be temporary) in order to stimulate the growth in those sectors again. I recommend Iron @20%, Food at current levels and all others be dropped to 5%. The VAT taxes can be tweaked, such as a temp raise in Food to 10%. While these decisions may not be popular, they will be vital to funding our nation in the short term.

6. Pursue negotiations with EDEN regarding buffer regions.

The UK may want to declare war on us again to keep us down. We need to talk to our allies about keeping certain regions as buffers against a possible UK attack in the future. This is both a short-term and long-term priority.

7. Research potential MPP's with EDEN nations.

While we currently have 3 active MPP's they will all expire in the next 2-3 weeks. We certainly cannot afford to renew them all but we should look for potential MPP's with other EDEN nations that might be at a lower cost then our current ones.

8. Political parties

We need to establish a few political parties. Because each party can only run 9 candidates in each region and the rules stipulate that a country with only one region gets 10 congress members it is obvious that we need two parties at the very least. Congressional elections are on the 25th but candidates can put their names in starting on the 16th. In this election the party president will need to ensure that only the most qualified and active candidates get into office so that the country can be run efficiently.

UPDATE: There are now two political Parties in Ireland The Popular Liberation Front and The Sons of Eireann. Please join a party and be ready to use your vote to defend Ireland.

We have a whole new world now. Let’s see if we can unite and rebuild what we had. Pull together Ireland and we will pull each other forward to new horizons of prosperity.
