Realization: A Request of All eAmericans

Day 1,457, 22:48 Published in USA USA by Mr. Booboo Kittybottoms

I began this game almost one month ago today, at a time when this beautiful ecountry of ours was just beginning to feel the marching footsteps by a new onslaught of foreign invaders. It was nothing new; war had been ravaging these lands for quite some time now, so why should it have become too much of a concern now? We are a strong nation. We always have been, and we always will be.

Unfortunately I joined just late enough to miss our full scale invasion of Spain. What a glorious moment that must have been for so many eAmericans. Not so much for the eSpaniards of course, but that was their fault for choosing an enemy such as the eUSA. They wanted revenge, and they began to unleash for it when they took Virginia. We held our ground though, laughing at their attempts while reveling on that power high that only conquering can bring forth. After they pushed hard and had only taken a couple more states, we had crushed their spirits away. More enemies were coming for the prize of the great eAmerican soil though: The eSerbians and the ePoles (ePulls? ePools? ePewls? I don’t really care.)

At first it was a simple invasion that was more of an annoyance than a threat – a fly in the room rather than a bear. Maryland and New Jersey were the first to fall. With each day more battles raged. Some orders were given in the interest of defending our soil, while others invested troops and supplies into making sure we would still have allies who could eventually help us. Territorial power switched constantly, but it never seemed to be a big deal. I looked at each loss, which I suspect many others did too, as just that – one loss. Constantly I was thinking to myself, “There are plenty more where that one came from.” This form of thinking must stop now!

eUSA - day 1457 (Am I the only one who thinks that neon pink and orange clash terribly with that indigo?)

The idea for this article has been brewing in my head for some time now, but it seems the time for action is drawing closer and closer. If nothing is done, that time for action will disappear. There are only thirteen territories left in our country. Thirteen. A mere fraction of what we should be, but it doesn’t have to be this way forever.

I encourage and challenge all players, new or old, to help bring a halt to this funeral processional for our freedom. Take action over our fate; be more active in your daily eRepublik life. True, it is easier to just log on, click to work and train, fight a couple times, then log off; but it is nowhere near the fulfilling experience that is being offered to you.

Get involved in a Political Party (I hear those Federalists are a real fun group of people 😉) to help make sure that the best leaders are chosen to guide us to victory. Join a Military Unit (Easy Company is always looking for recruits to train and assist!) to make sure that your fights are doing the most beneficial damage, and get some rewards for it too! All I ask is that you take a couple extra minutes of your day to help truly make the eUSA the superpower that it is capable of being. This country is only as good as the players who support it. Give it your all so that we can get out of this mess we are in now, and put ourselves back on top.

Sure, I have seen talk about how eAmerica has been conquered and redeemed before. Some may even say that we just let our invaders finish their business, then strike back when the time seems “better”. To this I ask one question: Why build a plan revolving around failure? I’m not sure about you, but I certainly don’t want to live in the United States of Serpoliand!
