Re: Karnataka - An Indian Perspective
Jewitt
Quoting David Forde's (Hey David! Long time no chat
🙂) article:
"4 - 95% of the comments say that USA should not return the region to India as the people of India and its Government are stupid, small in number and that if we want it we should try take it."
5 - The common opinion is that India should be PTO'd by the USA and then destroyed so we cant ask for it back and that we as Indians are stupid.
6 - 5% of the comments on the thread realise that if the USA doesn't return the region as agreed India can just let serbia into do the job for us and the whole of the World will see that the USA is not to be trusted on its word in the future."
Seems like typical Americans, does it not? Unfortunately, I have a feeling Mr. Forde either is not reading everything or simply is making assumptions. See for yourself: http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,24318.0.html
Let's avoid this.
The majority of those asking "Is India stupid?" or "India is full of idiots" are not American citizens or are not American officials - more so the former. Just on the first page, the only true insult came from an eIsraeli. On the first page I also found two against this, while I found four in favor.
Continuing on throughout the thread, and yes I read it all, I found that the gross majority of Americans posting are in favor of handing Karnataka back to Indian control. I encourage all Indians to go and look at the thread and see for yourself.
Now, a lot of those in favor of handing it over have some hypotheticals about India being invaded, doomsday, and some Emerick loving, but that usually comes when you get a bunch of teenage Americans on the same forum. Our bad, we are drama queens
😉
What is now happening is Shail and Abhi are posting in the thread defending India - the only issue is that they are "defending the decision" from the minority of those posting. This causes those against it to post more, and make it look like there are more people in favor of keeping Karnataka against the will of India. For every five or so I see "Let India have it, did we not promise we would give it back if they wantred it?" I see one guy posting across the entire thread about ten times "India cannot into iron!" One apple makes the basket look terrible, and all nations have this problem.
On a real-life note, I really can't wait till you guys export this to the States!
I am unsure of what President Richardson, or any other American official, will do on this issue. What I can say as Congressman of Karnataka and Former President that helped in the liberation of India from Indonesia, that I support giving Karnataka back to India.

-Jewitt

As someone who has been helping organize ATO operations with your leaders for months, I want to say,
Always seek the truth for oneself.
If you can't be bothered, ask me.
Remember, Rod Damon Was Right
yeah !
I'm fine with giving it back. I just hope India realizes that it's not in their best interest.
Silly Jewitt, Karnataka is for Americans
I'm just glad I don't have a company there. A lot of American investments will go bad if the region is returned to India.
It is totally in their best interests - they are going to inherit a huge company base created by the eUS development there. I'd like to see if they can rally the population levels to support the industry though.
The real winners here will be Spain and China.
Thanks Jewitt
BTW, what are the terms of the contract with India? I'm a bit surprised you didn't sign a long-term lease with them, 'long-term' being at least a year.
agreed
"It is totally in their best interests - they are going to inherit a huge company base created by the eUS development there. I'd like to see if they can rally the population levels to support the industry though."
All the companies will be sold off and population base will leave because they are all American workers. They do not have the population to utilize Karnataka like the US does now. With that being said, if they really want it back, it is in their right and it should be done. But I think it isn't the best thing for them at this point.
When did the USA become so noble? I remember the days when you guys were awful allies - calling UK allies only on paper, giving us less of a vote in Fortis - and now look at you. Ditching EDEN
to help smaller countries, handing a high iron region back voluntarily - wow.
I suppose it was the babyboom you had - more RL
Americans, more good people.
Well done - don't drive India to do what some of your less classy predecessors forced the UK to do.
Aww shucks Maddog, kind words 😛
Return Kakataka to India... That way a blocker doesn't get elected into congress by 2 clickers again. 😃
Return Kakataka to India - voted
I think this is a fine idea and a fine article.
Return Karnataka to India
If they want it it is theirs.
Agreed. Give us time to withdraw our citizens and sell our companies, though.
If they want it back then give it back. How are we to judge what is in India's best interests?
!
u occupation india
Go out
Lets have FREE India
free India🙂
We knew that this would happen eventually. It's not like we were making a ton of gold there anyway. It's not like we wouldn't be able to get iron from an ally, so if they want it....give it back.
Its only that you get more votes to your articles 🙂
Why do you not let the citizens stay if you fear they can't utilize it properly? They can have an immigrant boom to make up the difference.
Yep, if eIndia want Karnataka back then it is theirs. Just make sure that the decision has been thought entirely through. You still have Serbia bordering your territory.
Also, Australia has been having a big discussion over the consequences that may come their way depending on the outcome.

> as [the accidental] Congressman of Karnataka
Fixed.
India, as a puppet state, used to be far better behaved. Nationalist ideals need to be set aside for the greater war against our enemies - at least until version 2 ^-^
The Indians had to know that the Americans, heck, the Brolliance, would not let go of the region willingly.
Idea: Jewitt runs as a blocker for the Indian Presidency.
Blablabla, saying this, doing that, typical american attitude.
Voted- thnx
It's their region! Give it back and be fair!
Dr. TheJollyRancher, one thing i dont get, if eAmerican companies in Karnatka will all be sold off, and if "noone is gonna work there, or be in eIndia", who will buy these companies if the country will be a ghost town more or less?
reality is that wages are gonna be good there, what will bring in workers.
And anyway, half of the current population will never leave
If they want it, it is theirs. But I wrote an article stating my opinions, being a former Karnatakan resident.

Karnataka *is* India.
India's ability to defend Karnataka and manage its resources are debatable; India's claim to Karnataka is not.
Voted without hesitation.
What do you mean return Karnataka to India?
We didnt take the region from India.
And we're not gonna gift it to India.
If India wants Karnataka, India should get Karnataka. It's their region.
> accidental congressman of Karnataka
Yeah, I was an accidental President too. You're welcome for Karnataka in the first place 😃
Just look at all the fuzz we caused, lovely 🙂
the USA Presence in India is the main challange for India,
the neighbors always in dangerous position(esp 2 powerful country of phoenix Iran,Indonesia)
regional cooperation for every country is more useful than any other relation,Indians know that.
Usa must do wisely.
This summarizes my feelings on the issue; I really think this is a terrible move, but it is their right as co-signers of the treaty to have Karnataka returned.
Good and sensible perspective Jewitt.
I doubt President Richardson will allow this.
If they want it it is theirs. x2
I support returning it if they want it. If not, we have proved we are liars and cheats.
I also want us to offer a promise to help India defend Karnataka if it comes under attack (NOBODY MESSES WITH THE USA MILITARY!).
ummm ... let's just forget Liaoning for now, shall we 🙂.
Voted and appreciated 🙂
isnt the reason we had it was cuz it was a hi iron area? giving it back would drive iron prices back up..and in return gun prices back up...jsut a thought
hello no you anit getting Kakataka back we made it what it is today.
