Our Sports reporter Jan van Mielieblom reports from Sydney ahead of this afternoons clash.

Here in Sydney I can report that official protest have erupted in the streets. Protesters are questioning the fairness of having to play the Netherlands at such an early stage in the competition.

The price of Kangaroo meat has already decreased with the expected increase of supply.

We sense nervousness in the Aussie camp.

Meanwhile back in Brazil, FIFA are impressed by the speed of Brazilian construction work.

Some of the Dutch team has been seen enjoying the atmosphere.

But it is not all enjoyment; they have also been spotted doing serious training as well.

The Aussie team has also been spotted training hard.

Some Aussie fans in Rio still appear to be optimistic, so let’s wait and see what happens.
