Question about language.

I am new to the game.
I have a question:
Most of eJapan's newspapers are in English.
But most of eChina's newspapers are in Chinese.
How can this happen?

Over the last three months, there has been a conscious effort in eChina to promote eRepublik to Chinese players. When I first became ambassador to eChina a few months ago, it was almost entirely English. Now it's almost entirely Chinese. Their campaign worked.
There has been no such campaign in eJapan/Japan. Although if we wanted to start one, I would suggest starting where the Chinese did. They programmed a firefox add-on that converted the eRep interface from English to Chinese. Doing that for Japanese would make it much easier for Japanese players to use the game.
Not that I know how to do that.
君は日本人だの?
I don't speak/read a word of Japanese but I'd be all for Japanese language newspapers if it meant us getting more players. Japan does seem underpopulated.
As long as we keep english as an official language too so I can keep playing!
Foreigner's Japanese language skill - 不合格, also mocking Japanese if they have poor English language skill. In eJAPAN.
Who mocked you, Donald? That is completely unacceptable. Give me their name and they will receive a harshly-worded letter. This IS eJAPAN and we should respect those who have mastered the JAPANese language.
外国語に熟達するのは決し て容易ではない。
「だの?」って何?方言?
Frankly, the English Speakers built this country. There isn't a point in converting Japan to full Japanese as Reiji said, if many have to use an olnine translator to read the Japanese. Point is, the active, 'important' (for lack of a better term) people are all English speakers. That's just how the country works.
I am a bit disappointed in Hitoshi-san's comments. Three months or so ago, we had frequent Japanese articles in the media, although it was still mostly English. I never felt that the Japanese in the media in any way diminished my enjoyment of the game as an English-speaker. On the contrary, it increased it.
I may not know any more than Reiji how to supplant the technical barriers, but any Japanese who wish to participate in their native language, we welcome with open arms.
It is clear that as long as eJapan is dominated by English speakers, few real Japanese will try to play. They will never feel at home.
I support the use of japanese from the very beginning of my arrival to the japanese chat. I even asked government representatives to change the welcoming message to Japanese. I think with time it's possible.
